My tv is mounted above the fireplace and the walls on either side are bare and painted a very neutral color. Eventually I want to do built in shelving but until then, I need something to fill up the space and I need it to be inexpensive. I thought about hanging some photos of old doors I took pictures of when we were on our honeymoon in Italy. Our living room is very neutal at the moment (large beige sectional and grey/beige area rug, no pillows or blanket colors decided on yet). They still need to be altered a bit (cropped and straightened).
Which, if any photos do you think would look nice framed on either side of the tv? Color or black and white? Please tell me which two you like together or if you have a better idea of something please let me know.
Thanks for the help.

I like 1 & 3 personally, and 4 is a close 3rd. I think they’d be super cute framed, and then the blue will give you a kicking off point on a color pallate for the room.

I’d say 1 & 3 too, also giving 4 as my 3rd choice. I think I’d keep them in colour butnblack and white would be good too if you don’t be specially wish to accent the colours in the photos throughout…

Those are wonderful photographs!
If you have enough room, I would hang them all… veritically, three on either side of your tellevision.
Colorwise, I would hang 1, 5, 3 (top to bottom) on one side and 2, 4, 6 (top to bottom) on the other side.
I have a similiar vignette of German castle doors (in B&W) over our bed.

I love 1 and 3. And the option of going b/w, oh my, that makes it more difficult to decide! Beautiful photos! No matter what u chose, it would look exceptional.

@Olive27: Of these options, I think 1&3 are best and I would definitely go with color. I don’t know, I might go with something a bit different if it were my living room.

Just for reference, this is a picture of the living room as it stands now (don’t mind the dog toys and extension cords…) Once the photos are up, I will base pillows, curtains, and other decor off those colors.

I LOVE #4 and would pair it with #1 or 3!
