We are going to be doing something projected behind the head table. It will be projecting onto white pipe & drape (with purple/blue uplighting), so I’m a little concerned about it being too busy and any detail looking messy. Here’s an example:
Here’s what our aisle runner design is going to be, not that it matters THAT much, but so you see the fonts we’re using:
I am debating on the design for the projection. I am going for modern, upscale, a little bit of a “classy club/lounge” feel. Which of the three below do you think will look best, OR – suggest something else? We don’t have to do names either, we could do a pattern of some sort, but they usually do names.
These are fake last names but give you an idea of the length and shape of our last name.
#2. First Names
#3. Full Names

I voted initials, I think that if you’re worried about details getting mixed up bigger letters will be safer. Also, I just like initials a little better than names for decorations, so I’m biased.

I like your full first names!

Oooh I love the font you used for your runner. Do you mind sharing?

I have decided to go with first names, although Fiance would prefer it say “Matt” so I need to see what I can do on that since it throws it off balance…
@ivoryowl: Thanks! The sans serif is Gotham, the first letter of our names is in Alex’s Hand, the rest of our names are in Great Vibes (I didn’t like the capital A that came with GV), and the & is actually Chopin Script! I don’t like Chopin Script generally but the ampersand is nice.
Here’s another use of those fonts on our invite (this is a digital mockup, I made some tweaks since but the fonts are the same):
