I’m trying to figure out which return address I should be using for our STD cards.
My fiance and I live together – but my parents are paying for/hosting the wedding.
I’m sure this is simple enough to figure out…but I seemed to have misplaced my Emily Post book 🙂

I suggest using your address. Since you are sending them out, you will want them returned to you in case they cannot be delivered. Also, some people use that address as a place to send gifts to

I believe technically on is supposed to put your parents, but we honestly put ours (we live together also). In this particular case it almost doesn’t matter as there will be no RSVP cards or anything to return. Honestly I doubt it really matters, maybe just put yours so if there are any addresses that don’t work you can get them back and correct?

probably yours since i’m assuming that you’ll be dealing with any invites that get sent back and/or rsvps.

I had a similar issue! I was told the best is to have it be YOUR return address because you can keep track better, etc and it’s fun to get them in the mail!
For our return address We got an embosser from paper source that says:
Katy & Scott (no last name since we have different ones for now)
123 Main St
Los Angeles, Ca
– It’s so cute and a good investment since you can emboss it on anything… it was $30, and the emboss machine was $30 but you can interchange the plates…
hope this helps!

I recently saw a return envelope that was addressed the same way as kcolbyd.
Bride & Groom
123 Main Street
I think its cute! Traditionally they are to be sent to your parents house, but for the ease of planning- I’d use your home address. Also, if a guest sends you a note in the mail or something it will go directly to you! I got a handful of “can’t wait” notes after I sent out our STD’s!

You can use whichever you want… I recommend using the address where you want gifts shipped, because you might start getting some from just the STDs before the invites go out!
