I vote for the gold center with platinum trim. For some reason, it seems more classic looking.

I like the one with platinum trim, but I'd like it better if the gold was about half as wide. Does that make sense? I really like the beveled edge...actually DH has a pre-deploymenet ring just like that, but in stainless steel.
I love the platinum edged one. It just looks more classic. Maybe it's the shape and the finish, but that one just jumps out at me.
I like the one with the platinum center and gold edges. But when it comes to mens rings, I tend to like a more modern, streamlined look.
I think, like you said, they are pretty much the same. I would go with whatever matched your ring(s). If your rings are platinum, go with the platinum center with gold edge. If your ring is gold, go with the gold center with platinum edge. I think that would make them match better... that is, if you are going for the matching idea. Hope that helps!
lol our rings won't match at all! I never really thought about having matching bands.... is that the norm?
@ejs: I will probably keep a look out for one with more of a platinum edge! It's a little too much yellow gold for my liking. I just feel like yellow gold is so dated... but according to the hive, its more classic than I thought!
If I go with the matching thing, I guess I'll end up getting one with a platinum center... but not the above ring. The one I saw at the store was more streamlined like the gold centered one- I just couldn't find a picture ANYWHERE! They both look really good in person...
Who would have thought this would have been one of the toughest decisions. Ugh! lol
I like the second one better personally, but I'm admittedly not a huge yellow gold fan so I'd want as little as possible if it were my ring.
I was looking around to see what I could find and I found this I like, it's white gold in the center with milled yellow gold edges. I'm not familiar with the website or know what you're looking to spend, but I like this:

I'm not a fan of gold so I voted for the platinum center.
My husband's band looks almost exactly like the one that Mary-Alice posted and it looks FANTASTIC in person. You really don't even notice the yellow all the much, but it has both which is what he wanted because mine has both.
I like the one you posted too Mary alice, thats the kind I was actually looking for & its like 1/2 the price of the other one... score!
I stll have to time to look, but AHHH it's pretty much a tie... I need more votes ladies!
haha the vote is 50-50. I voted for the platinum center, but I favor platinum over gold anyway.
I'm thinking the same as jingle96: I like the platinum center better, but that's because I like white jewelry over yellow.

I've always liked white metals more than yellow gold for myself. But there's just something so classic about a yellow gold wedding band on a man. I like both, really, but personally I'd choose the yellow gold center.
I like the gold trim one. My fi is getting a gold trim one and I like the way the gold looks against his skin.

lol what a silly post this is...
My FI wants a two-toned wedding band b/c it will work better with his suits & watch. Yeah, he went from dreading the idea of wearing a ring to making sure it matched his outfits. Sheesh.
Anyway, he said he doesn't care which one... but I can't decide. They're basically the same, yet totally different lol. I personally don't like either THAT much myself...
HELP!
