Okay bees! I need your help. I’m torn between 2 rings. I fell in love with moissanite a year ago and purchased a wonderful 1.87 tcw halo engagement ring. Well.. I sold it for money towards the wedding :/ so now I’m looking for something low setting and basically a ring that’s durable as I am active and use my hands alot at work. I’m very clumsy and that’s why I kept losing corner stones in my previous ring. I’ve picked out a ring on moissaniteco.com and another at littman jewlers that me and my fiance loved as well. The pros if I go with littman is I work next door at jcpenney so I can just drop it off to be cleaned or checked whenever I please. The pros with moissanite is of course my love for the gem and its less expensive. But it does not come with a band. Here’s some pics. Also, which one would be more durable as far as stone coming loose ?

You have a lot of options here. First, it seems like you are a prime candidate for ring insurance! You just add it to your home/renters/car insurance policy and it’s not that expensive. If anything happens, you can have the ring fixed/replaced.
Next, If you are looking for a lower setting, what about a bezel set? Super low profile so it’s really tough for it to snag on anything. The stone sort of sits in the setting, rather than on top. If you want the sparkle factor, they can come with size stones, or try getting the wedding band with channel or bezel set stones, too. If nothing sticks up off the ring, it cant get caught on things! Bezel tends to be on the less pricey side anyway.
Last, if I had to choose between the two… I say get the solitaire option. Those small center stones can much more easily fall out.
Good luck! Post pix of the decision!
