Eek, how awful for you that your ring is stolen/lost!

I voted #2, it’s soft and very pretty

I’ve never been a huge fan of the north east south west settings (that is how my engagement ring is set and I’m currently having the setting remade). I’ve always liked 6 prong or 4 prong a lot better. So I vote #1!

nowmarriedgirl :  ring style one is very dated, IMO.  The triangular prongs seem very 1980’s to me.  I much prefer the second prong style.

I’m so sorry your ring disappeared! How frustrating!

I love #2, solitaire Tiffany-style setting never gets old to me. Plus it’ll at least be closer to flush with the band than #1. Does #2 have a knife edge? Looks a little more gradual than that. Despite the (IMO scary) name I’ve heard they’re plenty comfortable when paired with a band. 2mm will look great, classic!

nowmarriedgirl :  lol…maybe it was just the picture. Kinda hard to see since it’s just the profile. This is what I mean by compass setting

    nowmarriedgirl :  that’s gorgeous. I would’ve picked 2 as well if I saw the top view ! I can’t vote again but I think I like 2 more now 🙂

I chose Ring #2 – I have a similar style, and I think the design of the basket is very elegant.

nowmarriedgirl :  I looove #2! Is that Sol238E? I literally just looked at one just like it that another bee mentioned on a different thread. It’s so beautiful and I like how smooth the prongs are!

nowmarriedgirl :  You can’t go wrong either way! They’re both stunning.
