ladies you helped me before. i need your help again :-)))
i’m debating which width i should get for my bridal sash. either 2.5″ or 2″…. the difference seams sooo big and soooo small at the same time… pleeeease help me to decide :-))
Note .. this the sample size that obviously is waaay too big on me. so my dress will of course be much more fitted.
thanks a lot!!!
this is the 2.5″ sash:
this is how a smaller sash would/could look:

Honestly, I can barely tell the difference! I voted for the bigger one though.

I’m sorry but I find your pics deceiving. The smaller one looks better because you edited the photo and made it strait. The wider one does not appear to be lying flat but that may be because the dress is still to big. Personally I’m not sure how much of a difference 1/2 an inch makes. I think you should hold off on deciding until you do your alterations. That way you will know which one is best.

thanks for your input! i would looove to be able to hold off and decide once the dress is in 🙂 the trouble is that the biggar sash is from the bridal store and has a delivery time of about 4 weeks… in my case that means i need to decide BEFORE i get to try on the dress in my size. (and of course it would also mean to spend more money on it… )
the smaller ribbon I can get from a craft store. but this colour only comes in either 2″ or 3″ – but not 2.5″. since it is easier to get i thought I asked you girls out there for your opinion…
somehow i think the biggar sash is more like a statement where the smaller one looks a little bit flower-girlish…
ohhh, I don’t know…. hope the vote is not gonna be even! 🙂

i voted for the bigger one 🙂

I agree that you don’t obviously notice the difference between the two. I voted for the smaller one because I thought it made your top half look better. I personally bought a wider sash because I have a big top half and thought it would look more balanced. You look tiny though, so I vote for the smaller one! 🙂

I also think that you can’t really tell the difference without really looking at it. When I did look though I think that the smaller one elongates your torso a little bit more than the bigger sash.

Visually, I like the bigger one – I agree it makes more of a statement. But I have one caveat – it looks as if it could bunch/wrinkle along the bottom edge, almost as if it’s too wide for your torso. That could be due to the fact that the dress hasn’t been fitted yet, but I would make sure. I’d rather see the smaller one laying nice and flat than the bigger one bunching and wrinkling.

I like how the bigger one looks-although there really isn’t a whole lot of difference in the sizes. Either way, a sash with that dress will look lovely on you!

you are awesome!!!
the ladies who left a note, might be right, and that the smaller sash would work better with my small figure…. and it would save me some bucks too… still thinking tought…
looking at the pictures and the measurments i start to think that i may have thinned out the smaller one a bit too much in photoshop… so the 2″ may even be a bit closer to the bigger sash….
which would help… and i would now be tempted to go with the smaller version.
who would have thought that a ribbon could make a brides life that hard 🙂

What’s the difference? Lol. J/k but really can’t tell THAT much, but I do like the second one. Smaller one accentuates your waist more.

i think i like the second one. lol there is not much difference though.

i didn’t really see a difference either but you’re so tiny, i feel like it’s logical to go with the smaller one. lol. 🙂
