We’re having eight foot long rectangular tables. Would you prefer them to be in long lines (it would be easy to get out — it’ll be in a tent, so no walls) or would you prefer them to be separate from each other? Reasons for each?

I think long lines of tables look nice, and it might be easier for you in terms of seating, since you won’t have to break people up into blocks of 8 or whatever (you’ll still have to group people, but with long lines you have more flexibility). Either way will work great, though.

With that picture, I think having them separate looks better. With them together, I feel like it is the royal ball, or a lunch room. Just that little bit of separation will add more intimacy for your guests. But either way would probably look great!

@peachacid: I like the way the long rows look, but im just thinking every time someone has to get up they have to walk all the way around the tables. But thats the only reason lol.
