Forgot to mention- the lady I spoke with said that other than the Whispering Woods cabin, all others are right by other/multiple cabins.
Its your honeymoon, you should go with what you want... Maybe try to get out of the one you have a deposit with.... but you may loose your deposit... make sure that is okay with both of you first... good luck!
I really like the whispering woods one. You get the privacy and view, plus in my opinion, I think it's a nicer cabin.
To me privacy and better view would be key...though I personally like the open expanse of the first one. And we'd be more likely to use a porch swing. But i voted for Whispering Woods b/c you said that having more mountains was really important to yuo. And I thinkt he privacy is key.

@Juliemd414 From what the lady said, it sounded like we should be able to switch to the other cabin without losing any money...or I would hope so! lol
I voted for whispering woods, it seems more secluded and I like the styling of the cabin more (it seems more modern in its furnishings). Either one would be amazing I'm sure.

Okay just called again (and prefaced the convo with- I'm really sorry to be bugging you again! lol), and they said that if we were to switch cabins, the deposit we've put down already would just transfer over to the other cabin, so we wouldn't lose anything.

I'm from "not too far" from the area and have used cabins like these in the Smokies many times. . . for sorority functions. My vote is go with the more secluded one so you don't get one beside a sorority function 
@lovelerae hahahaha, good point! I was in a sorority in college as well...hadn't even thought of that! I went to a fraternity's formal in the smokies as well and yeah...it would stink to be honeymoon'ing around that!

Alrighty so...we're renting a luxury cabin/chalet in the Smokies for our honeymoon for 1 week. Right now we have one booked and a deposit down. But, the more I look at it, the more I'm not sure about picking that particular one. It's very very nice and has tons of the bells and whistles, butttttt it doesn't have some things that are important to me for our honeymoon.

While it has a lot of very nice things...it doesn't have two things that are very important to me: 1. an awesome mountain view, and 2. privacy!
I called the resort office and they gave me a few other suggestions, and they said that more than likely it's not too late to switch cabins at this point.
One that she suggested, because of the privacy AND view factors was this one:

This one has almost all the same bells and whistles (plus a hammock), has a much better mountain view (one we have reserved has more of a city view), andddd she said it is their most private cabin available.
What do you all think? Switch to the more private/better view one, or just stick with the original?
