- Wedding: August 2014
So I have buttloads of time to make this decision but, believe me, I have been cruising the net looking at wedding shoes. Because who wouldn’t?!?!! I want flats because I am half an inch taller than FI. I am sort of hoping by some miracle he buys shoes that have something of a manheel and my flats are super flat and we even out.
So I have looked through probably maybe 100 shoes and I am down to 2 pairs.
SHOE 1: The first one I fell in love with ($130): http://www.etsy.com/listing/119745761/wedding-shoes-ballet-flats-vintage-lace?ref=shop_home_active
It is lovingly handmade, sounds to be of excellent quality, and exquisitely beautiful! But really, these shoes will only appear with the garter removal and the cute picture they’ll take of my shoes before I put them on. And they are $130, which is wayyyyy more than I wanted to spend, but you never know with these wedding things.
SHOE TWO: The second pair that I love, I’m not in love but I do love the cute bows and the peeptoe, and it’s muuuuch less expensive ($32): http://www.amazon.com/Satin-Peep-Bridal-Ballet-Flats/dp/B00AB2OIBY/?ref=pd_sbs_shoe_1
These ones are very cute and a money saver but I’m not sure if they are fancy enough. Also they are so cheap, could they fall apart on my wedding night? Does anyone have experience with Dessy shoes?
To set the stage, it’s an August wedding in the lakes region overlooking mountains in New Hampshire and my dress looks like this: http://www.preownedweddingdresses.com/dresses/26449/San-Patrick-Espiga-Size-6.html
Does anyone have advice as far as picking these wedding shoes? Any experience with these shoes? I don’t conceivably have to order for 6-9 months, but it might be nice to know which ones I’m getting or be on the look out for any extra sales. Also other shoe suggestions welcome! Thank you!
