    Hi Bees,

I need your help...I can't decide on what shoes to wear with my dress? (my dress still needs to be hemmed but here's a picture of it)

I would have flowers that would match the colored shoes, regardless if I choose the colored shoes or not.

    Which shoes should I choose?

Yikes.  That's like an impossible choice.

If forced to choose, I'd probably go with the pop of color- but both are awesome choices.

I love the idea of color with the white dress, but those top shoes are beautiful!

I have the Nina's in blue and I love them...they are surprisingly comfortable (but I've only worn them for maybe a hour at a time!)  Those top shoes are delicious tho too!  If it helps in your decision, which pair has more possibility of re-wearability?  That's what made me decide to go with color.

Oh the colored ones!! They are both gorgeous, but I LOVE the unexpected pop of color the second pair would give the dress.

I love the fist picture, do they come in a different color? Where did you find them?

I am a huge fan and proponent of colored shoes... but the matching ones look like they were made for that dress! I would pick those.

okay. I am the first to say no to anything matchy matchy.

BUT now I'm gettin ga little overwhelmed by everyone wearing colored shoes so  i voted for the matching ones (plus they are fab).

I think the first ones are beautiful and look like they were made for your dress! I pick those, I am doing red shoes but I feel like with your dress the peach colored are just meant to be!

That is so hard! Both shoes are gorgeous, so either is a good choice! I voted color though because i love the pop of color under a dress :)

I voted for the coloured shoes (the pop of colour would look fantastic against your dress IMO) but it was a very hard choice!

Thanks Bee's for you input. It is a hard choice. I am leaning towards my first pick, which were the colored shoes. The 2nd pair are so high 4 3/4" so I'm afraid to fall!

@tobemurphy10 - I found the shoes on heels.com. They are Badgley Mischka. They come in gold, ivory and black. http://www.heels.com/womens-shoes/randee-gold-satin.html

Color isn't the only concern to have when choosing shoes IMHO

    Other stuff to consider is:

    1. fabric

metallic shoes can be stunning if the dress has metallic details, satin shoes can be great on a satin dress (even another color!!!)

    2. shape of the embellishment of the shoes with respect to gown details

Given the shoes you posted I chose the match match NOT because of the color but because of the material and the detail of the flower on the shoes (in layers just like your dress ruffles).

Both of those shoes are fabulous but I really like the first ones. They would go so well with your dress. Yes, it would be great to have a pop of color but those shoes are gorgeous!

I chose the matchy matchy just because of the detail...so pretty.  Same femininity as your dress.

BTW LOVE your dress, very similar to what I was looking for, but I never saw anything like it!

Thanks sarahsd. I actually found the dress at a consignment store for $60. I couldn't pass it up.

I chose the matching shoes simply because they are FAB. Your dress is beautiful as well. But you couldn't go wrong with either shoe!

I really like the idea of colored shoes, but I think that dress would just look so amazing with those matching shoes.

I think the matchy-matchy shoe would look beautiful with your dress.  The color shoes would look good too - it's very fun.  So, I think it depends on what you are going for: pretty or fun.  Personally, I like the pop of color - kinda JCrew-ish for a summer wedding.

I think first shoes are a little TOO matchy-matchy.  I think the second shoe would be great, and that color would go well with the creamy color of your dress.

Both shoes are beautiful!  I would choose the pop of color.  I think that while you move about in your dress the pop of color will be cute peeking out.  You won't get that effect with the 1st pair because they blend so well with the dress.  I'm sure with whatever pair you have you'll be able to showcase them though.

normally I'd go with color, but those matchy matchies are divine!  Plus, I'm starting to think the colored shoe look is already done by too many people unless you really want it or it's your signature color...I also think maybe the color isn't quite right, but I still think you could go with color for your bouquet even w/ the ivory shoes.
