I know traditionally brides on her fathers' left arm but does it have to be that way?  Our venue has a side aisle instead of a center aisle.  I think I should walk on the right so our guests can see me.

I was on my fathers left arm because the brides side is to the left.  Otherwise if you had a center aisle you would have to cross over your father to get to your spot.  HOWEVER, if you are doing a side aisle I think its totally acceptable to walk on his other arm so your guests can see you!  whatever works best for your space :)

the main reason for the left arm, is because the brides family sits on the left, and the bride stands on the left, so i would just switch you sides at the alter(so you will be on he right instead of the left) and go for it!!

this is our venue.  chairs will be set up on the grassed tiers.  there is no center aisle, just what you can see from the steps on the left it extends farther back.

I vote stand on your fathers right arm - I agree with you, as a guest at your wedding (lol) I would want to see you in your gown Laughing

I say it really doesn't make that big of a different and I would be that NO ONE is going to "Gasp! She's walking on the wrong side!" regardless of whether or not you have a center aisle.  I my dad was on my left (mom was on the right) and I stood on the left side.  It wasn't awkward to cross over at all.

I've seen it done both ways... in your case, I think you should be on your father's right.  :)
