I am looking to sell my gown as I really don’t have the room to keep it and as much as I love it, I don’t really know what I would keep it for. For all the bees that have sold their dresses what option did you use and how succesful were you? Did it take awhile? And finally, did you pay shipping costs or did you include it in your price?

I sold my unworn first dress on OnceWed. It took almost a year to sell it and I ended up selling to a lady who lived in my city, so I didn’t have to worry about shipping.

@kala_way: How long did it take you to sell it on ebay? I am expecting my dress to arrive in 4 -5 months but I am having dress regret and I want to put it up for sale asap. Was it easy to sell it on ebay?

I’m planning on selling my first dress (I have a new one) on Craigslist or Kijiji. I figure it will be easier if someone can pick it up locally.

@aleksandra.bojeva: It took two go arounds and I lowered the price slightly the second time. It was a straightforward auction. I’ve sold a lot of thing on ebay and I didn’t even have any questions from the person who bought it.
It might be a different process depending on the price of the dress. Mine was a David’s Bridal that was $400 retail so I was pleased to get a little of $200. I imagine selling something for thousands might be different.
Just do lots of pictures and be very clear and descriptive.
