I know a cardinal rule of bridal shopping is to buy in the size you are now and not what you expect to be, but…
I tried on a dress yesterday that fit me like a glove I could have bought it off the rack and worn it today with just a hem. However, when they measured me to make sure, my waist ended up being a whole 1 1/2 inches larger than the size I had been wearing 5 minutes earlier. Even the consultant was shocked!
For what it’s worth, I am planning on losing weight, but I don’t want to guarantee it. Had I not tried on the sample in the right size, I would have definitely ordered it in the larger size so I wasn’t stressing about it, but the sample is throwing me off. Also, I was told it was a fairly new sample, so it probably hasn’t stretched.
So, do I order in the size that I KNOW fits me or the larger size that the books says I should order?
