So we finally received our STD magnets – yayyyyyyyyy! We are going to attach them to some cardstock for mailing, with a cute phrase at the top, and our wedding website at the bottom. I’ve found some super cute phrases on the Bee, but was wondering which you ladies preferred??
“The planning has started and date is set –
Here’s a magnet so you won’t forget!”
“We’re getting married and the date is set –
Use this magnet so you won’t forget!”
Or some combination of the two??
Also, does the punctuation I’ve used look ok? Should I be using commas or periods instead of the dash?? So minor, but still so important!!

I’d go combo. Phrase 2 but “here’s a magnet”.

@SapphireSun: +1 that sounds good!

It’s too bad you couldn’t have pushed back your date a couple of weeks. You could have said:
“We’re getting married this coming September! Here is a magnet to help you remember!” LOL

@SapphireSun: @AmyFarrahFowler: Thanks ladies! I was wondering if “Use this magnet” sounded a little agressive, lol.
@Brielle: Lol, omg I LOVE that!!!! Too bad the darn venue doubles its price for the Sept/Oct months. 🙁

How about, “So n So and So n So are getting married! August 24, 2013” ?

I’ve been trying to come up with something else for you. These aren’t that great, but how about:
“A reminder so you can keep track of the wait,
we’ve sent you this magnet to help save the date!”
“Join us as each of us takes on a mate,
Here is a magnet to help save the date!”

@peachacid: Well our names and the date is already listed (the date is mentioned twice in fact, lol) on the magnet itself – I dont want to overdo that info. I thought a little poem would be kinda cute and go with our “casual, rustic elegance” theme.
I think I do like mentioning that we’re getting married though… just so no one assumes we’re asking them to save the date for some other event, lol.

@Brielle: Ha! I love the second one!! Especially for a nautical themed wedding!!
