Marge Simpson- minus the gambling addiction. Homer is so annoying, but she always manages to forgive him and just have soooo much patience. She's so supporting of Homer and her kids as well. You can tell she has lots of love in her, for a cartoon character :p

HAHA great thread.  I want to be Eva Longoria Parker from Desperate housewives---minus the cheating part!!!!!  She keeps the spark going, stands by her hubby thru blindness and financial woes, and she's hilarious.  Probably not the best choice, but I like her....

When I was a single parent I saw myself as Lorelai Gilmore.

Now I'm about to be married, I kind of see myself as. . .Gosh I don't know - great question!

I kind of imagine myself being a little bit like Pam from The Office.

I like to tell my fiance that he is kind of like if Carrie and Doug Heffernen from King of Queens combined to make one person . . . with a dash of Arthur Spooner thrown in.  If you watch the show, you should get what I mean :)

Totally Lorelai, even though she was only married to Luke in the last episode (let's all agree the last season without Amy Sherman Palladino doesn't exist, okay?)

To be honest, I was going to come in here and be all, "I don't want to be like a TV wife because TV wives are usually shrill nags that are condescending towards their husbands," but then I saw Jessica's mention of Claire from the Cosbys, and I totally want to be her! Successful, fulfilled, patient, with a great sense of humor and an ability to put her husband in his place without being obnoxious. LOVE HER.

@lilyfaith -  you totally just gave the end of Gillmore Girls away to me.. lol.  I just started TiVo'ing the reruns and am totally addicted to it again.  Hadn't watched it since the first couple of seasons and she just married Christopher.

I opened this thread thinking.. hmmm.. I don't know.. but now that I've read all of yours I'd have to agree that I would be happy to be like-

    Loralei, Lily, and Claire.

I especially aspire to have a relationship with my daughters like Loralei does with Roary.  Big shoes to fill.. lol

I'd love to say Lucy from I Love Lucy because Lucy loved Ricky in a very I'm jealous of you, but couldn't live without you way, and she's a good wife in the long run - but alas though Lucille Ball is my hero I'd never be a wife like her because I just don't have the energy to pull that many "lessons" over on the hubs (to be)

I'd have to say... now don't laugh.... Ready? Bree Vandecamp- just a better mom and more passionate. I'd love to be the perfect little wife with the dinner parties for his friends, fantastic cooking, the always clean home, the style of her house and garden. I know I know I live in the 50's so sue me. I think being a touch of Bree in that way and Roseanne  in the I'll d*** well bust my hump to make this work anyway possible is a good thing. I think I relate to both of them. I'm hard headed and a little loud like Roseanne and in total super wife mode like Bree and I have that classic southern woman thing where no matter how crappy our day was we have a huge smile on our face because it's not worth ruining someone elses day. Always trying to handle things with poise and still knows how to handle a rifle. Yea I'm totally Bree. I was watching season 2 tonight in the episode where she shoots her gun and George's truck. As I say "Never piss off a woman who's an active memeber of the NRA" Wink

This is such an odd choice for me, especially because the wife I am about to mention is one of three, but I have always really liked Barb on Big Love.  Granted, the family is dysfunctional (three wives and all), but I love how important family is to Barb and how loyal she is to her husband and fam.

This might not count but Charlotte from SATC when she was married to Harry. He brought out the best in her, there was a definite change in her personality when they got together. Their relationship is exactly like ours, only I work and FI is also very neat (Harry was a slob).

I saw this title thread and came on here to say Roseanne, and then saw that so many people already did!

Roseanne reminds me so much of my own mom, and even with my mom's flaws, she was pretty kick-ass. I wouldn't want the Connor's money problems, but she knew how to raise a family.

Since I am a Gemini, I get to pick two personalities.   For the good and handworking twin in me , I pick Claire Huxtable, of course!!!

For the bad and spoiled bratty twin in me, I pick Gabby Solis.  After all, my dream job is to be a rich housewife whose every whim is catered to.

I just thought of another one..

Has anyone seen 19 kids and counting.  I could and would never live thier lifestyle but I wish I could be as strong and positive as Michelle is.  They are such good role models!
