DH is very into Valentines Day and I’m not. Every year we agree on a very low spending limit for gifts and every year I stick to it while he goes completely over budget and gets me something more substantial. So this year I wanted to get him an actual gift as opposed to something small like in years past.
I decided to get a custom print made of places that have special meaning to us. I know he’ll like it. I’ve narrowed it down to two but now I can’t decide which. Which do you ladies like better?
-print is 12×36 including 1″ white border around the artwork
– Crisp + high-resolution print with bright white text on background
– Each print is professionally printed on high quality, archival, eco-friendly paper
frame not included. I could chose up to 17 place names for this print
Canvas, (not print) is 12×24
no frame needed
I can pick upto 14 place names

I really really like the second one better. I think it looks more masculine as well. GREAT IDEA by the way!

I like the IDEA of a canvas, but I think the first one is much, much better looking and more stylized.

@Meowkers: they’re both awesome! Which fits your house better? I slightly prefer #1 because it will look awesome framed, but if #2 fits your home better go for it.

As an artist, I like the first one much better. It looks more timeless to me, personally. I prefer the cleaner font. The second one… is a faux screenprint on a tshirt that has been washed look (?)

I prefer the first one… but then I remeber its for a man and say the second one is more masuline haha 🙂 Therefore, my vote is for #2! Great idea!

I think the clean, smooth text of #1 is masculine! I think it would look very nice and classic for V-Day. Canvas, although more expensive, looks cheap to me. I prefer framed prints myself. My FI has framed prints even before I met him.

Where are you ordering from? I really like this idea.

Ladies thank you for all your help. Although the poll shows that the canvas is the more popular one, what @MissChelly: @cbee: said really resonated with me so I’m going with the first one. I think the clean, modern look will work better in our home.
