Well I am now 10 weeks out from our wedding and my dress will be in my hands next friday! yay!
I have ordered a veil to go with my dress that is 2 teir (but I won’t be wearing it over my face) and comes half way down my back and has flecks of bling in it.
Here is my dilemma, I have ALWAYS imagined a really long veil as part of my “look”. I did try one on when I got my dress but the lady in the shop sort of talked me out of it and said it would take away from the detail of my dress, so I went with the other one.
Now I am not so sure, I have kept looking and came across this veil
What do you bees think? Will it take away from my dress? I only planning on wearing the veil for my ceremony.
here is my dress

It looks like the dress might have some lace/beadwork on the back (assuming the back detail is the same as the front we see in the picture). So I think a two-tier would actually take away from the beauty of the dress from behind— more layers of veil means people won’t be able to see the back detail as much in the area that’s covered by the veil. The longer, single tier looks like it would be thin enough to still allow the detail to be seen through it, plus I think it would complement the silloutte of the dress more.

@SilentSaturn: Yes, the dress is the same at the back, all lace detail with “sparkle” all through the dress
