I love both those veils, but I'd say the first one. Your dress is beautiful and unique and I think that first veil would be perfect.
I love the polka dot one for your dress and theme. So fun!
I love the polkadots. I'm not as sure about doing it in black, partially because I've never seen a veil in black and partially because you have gorgeous dark hair and the white will really pop, where as the black might get lost in it.

@asscherlover: I would totally do the white but my dress isn't white and its a really hard color to match. It's called honey and its a lot darker than ivory as well :( I think black is my only option unless I can match the colors in person ya know?

@Jamcnair: I'm not worried about the color. I'm a fan of black and I'm a little offbeat so I want my veil to reflect that :) I realize it's not everyone's cup of tea though!
I don't like it in black, I think ivory will look great with your dress.
Because your gown already features a lot of texture, I would suggest not adding a veil with as much texture as those two birdcage veils have. Perhaps another type of hair accessory -- one that reflects an element already found in your gown or sash -- may work best.
I feel like the polka dot one might be a bit much with your dress so I voted for the birdcage one.
@natbug21: Hi~ lol! You are so sweet! Kids are keeping me busy... phew! Finally get to sneak in some weddingbee time ;) Honestly, it was hard to picture the veil in black so I tracked down the pic and I think it looks amazing with red lips. (Just be careful not to have it opaque)
@natbug21: Oh that makes sense. I'm gonna have the same problem because my dress is "oyster", which seems to photograph champagne and looks pale pink in person. Black seems better in the picture than it was in my head. And the belt you're wearing is black right? (sorry I have so many questions lol I just have trouble with colors on computers :) )
I think you can do the black polka dot one, as long as it is plain-no added feathers or bling etc.

@asscherlover: I know it's so hard to match dresses that aren't "white" or "ivory"! And the belt in the pic isn't the one I'll be wearing but I will be wearing a simple black belt.
You guys are making this harder now lol... At first everyone liked the polka dot,now it's closer to split down the middle... Shoot! Lol
@natbug21: No worries! I had to google the definition to be sure I was using it right (maybe I'm not?)... but what I mean is make sure it's not hard for people to see you through. I know it comes down to personal preference, but the black veils that I thought looked chic had an open weave. The one in the tiny pic you posted works!

I'm sitting wondering why I worded it the way I did. I think I wondered if the netting between the dots would be too dark. I can't wait to see the rest of your theme~ sounds so fun!

Hey Bees! So I am having a hard time picking a veil and I need to order one ASAP so I don't have to pay any rush fees. I really love this polka dot veil from Tessa Kim but is it too much? I am having a vintage traveling circus wedding so I want things to be a little over the top but I dont want to look dumb. Here is the veil, but imagine it in black!
Isn't it cute! But I just don't know... My other option is this double layer birdcage veil, and I really like it but I don't love it like the one above. Imagine it in black as well!
