Hi Bees! First time poster here. I’m ordering a new e-ring and wedding band from an online jeweler and they’ve sent me a picture of my ring plus two different styles of wedding band, but I can’t tell which one looks better.
The first is a thinner band which I originally thought I wanted, but I’m not sure if it’s too small next to the 2 carat e-ring? Plus the stones go all of the way around the band and I’m not sure how that will affect general wear and tear.
The second band is a lot bigger and the stones only go half way around the ring, but it’s thicker than the band on the e-ring and I’m not sure if it looks better or worse than the thinner band. Opinions please?

The second one looks way better. It matches your ering more than the first one. I vote the second band!

I love both! However, I’m not a fan of stones going all the way around the band, or of thin bands so I would personally go with the thicker band. But whatever you love (:

Beautiful e-ring! I think the first band is too thin, but perhaps there is there something in between the two? I think the 2nd band overpowers your e-ring a little ..

CarlyPalmer: I really like the first band! But, I’m also partial to wearing thin bands. I would be worried about having the diamonds all the way around too. Can you get the thinner band with diamonds on half? That would be a winner for me. I think it compliments the e-ring well without competing with it. Beautiful! 🙂

I think the thicker 12 stone band competes with your ering a bit. I love dainty, feminine bands so I vote for the first one. I would also see if they could perhaps do that ring in a half-eternity style because I don’t think I would personally want the stones to go all the way around the ring. Both rings are beautiful, but band #1 definitely gets my vote.

I was really hoping that one ring would be favoured over the other then I would know which I wanted more if I was happy or disappointed, but nope, I love them both. I think I’m going to ask if they have anything inbetween the two, or if the thin band can be made in a half-eternity style. I would rather have a smaller band and be able to add others to create a stack in the future than be constantly worrying that my band is too thick and overpowering, thanks everyone! 🙂

I personally would go to a jeweler and get one that is the same width as the e-ring. I like the thinner band out of the two that you posted but I think it looks the best when they match.

CarlyPalmer: I prefer the thicker band, and I also think that a half eternity is much more practical than a full eternity (wear and also re-sizing). But I second what PPs said about seeing if they have something in-between as I do think that the second band runs the risk of overshadowing your e-ring; something a little thinner would be better IMPO.

Between the two I prefer the Second. But is there no band that’s a happy medium between the two sizes?

Love the second! I really like the look of the thicker band.

I’m not sure how to tag people in comments yet, but I was hoping to get both bands from the same seller and there’s no band that is the same size as the band on the e-ring.
lilsweetie, your ring looks fab 🙂 What size is your ring? I guess I’m worried about the thick band being too overpowering because I have short fingers.

Just an update, I found a plain band they have that matches my e-ring perfectly so I think I’m going to buy it as my official wedding band, then maybe get the thin eternity band and wear them together to start a stack.
