Hello ladies! I’ve been looking at wedding bands lately & am getting so exhausted by all the choices! First off, I’ll just address some things that you might be wondering. I DON’T want to wear my rings on separate hands & I DON’T want to forgo a separate wedding band altogether. One of the things I love most about my ring is the dainty band & the contrast it has with the big stone. I’m accepting the idea that it won’t look as dainty with a wedding band next to it, though 🙂
Some things I’ve been considering are the ability/choice to wear my wedding band alone, to solder or not solder and custom or not. It’s hard to find a wedding band for my basket halo, so I’ve accepted that I’ll most likely end up with a gap. & it’s growing on me! I don’t want my rings to scratch each other, since they won’t fit together perfectly, but I’m not too keen on the idea of soldering the rings either.
Anyway, I’ve tried on 3 rings. I’m in love with the first one. I think it matches well & fits most of my criteria. The salesperson suggested trying the second one and FI really likes it. I don’t mind it, but am not in love with the idea of having 1 big soldered ring. The third is just an option, since I wanted to see what a simple, classic band looked like. A fourth option is a custom band to fit my e-ring, but it’d likely have to be soldered & couldn’t be worn alone.
I’ve looked at all the boards on gaps vs no gaps & “which wedding band?” polls but I want to know which of these three you guys like, since I am sooooo not impartial enough!
What things should I know that I may not have thought of? What did you do? What do you like/dislike about it? Which option of mine do you like? Why? THANK YOU ALL SO IN MUCH ADVANCE! I seriously really appreciate all your wisdom & sorry this post is so gigantic!

I think the the wrap works best with the Ering but I also like the simplicity of the plain band.
ETA I feel like ring number one is a tad mismatch. If you like a single band IMO you should go with a plain one! No matter what it’s beautiful.

@ifoundmyprince: I agree with your fiancé and TheFutureMrsNguyen. I think the wrap works best (which I didn’t even know existed before I joined WB). What you could also do, but I’m not too sure how easy/possible this would be, but getting 2 thin wedding bands and having them custom so they sit under your centre stone. sort of like the wrap, but maybe not as overpowering. I think it would echo the dainty look that you like about your engagement ring. Your engagement ring is beautiful!

Your e-ring is gorgeous!!
I voted for the first option — the milgrain eternity band. I think it looks great with your ring.

I agree with your FI the wrap looks best. The other two just dont go with your ering IMO

I really like the way the wrap looks, but I understand the desire to have the option to wear the band alone. If it’s in your budget, would you consider getting the wrap AND the plain band? You could exchange both, and then wear the wrap when you wear the ering, but have the option to wear the plain band when you want to just wear that.

I’m a simple gal, so I voted for the simple band (#1), but I have to say, the ring gurard is really pretty as well!

I accidentally voted for the wrong thing.. oops. I was going to vote for the plain band, but voted for the wrap. I actually like the aesthetic of the wrap better, but I think from what you’ve described, you should go with something like the plain band. That way, it’s clear that they are two distinct rings. Also, I think they look perfectly fine together. I’m not a fan of the first one, it seems too wide and bulky for your delicate ering band.

Have you tried a simple pave band? I don’t think you should do the wrap. I like the look, but you can’t wear it separately. For me, it’s important to have band to be able to stand alone.

I would go with the wrap, it adds to your ring without taking away from the orginal design. if that makes any sense 😉 Go with what you are going to be comfortable with. If the wedding band does fit against your e-ring, the rings might slide and turn and be uncomfortable. If you go with the wrap nothing will move.

@MeiFrancis: That’s a great idea! So many options! I like the way you think 🙂 talked to FI about it & he said two rings may not be in our budget right now but it may be possible to get the wrap for the wedding & a plain band as the other option for maybe our first anniversary. What I like about the wrap is no soldering & endless options!
Thank you all for the suggestions and compliments to my e-ring 🙂 you’re all too sweet!

honestly I think the wrap looks great, but it doesn’t quite look like a wedding set (it makes it look like a larger gemstone ring), don’t get me wrong, it’s absolutely gorgeous, but I think the two wedding bands compliment the ring better (they make it look like a wedding set). If you like the wrap though go for it, who cares what anyone else thinks!!!!
