The key goes more towards the enchanted garden theme I was going for, while the torrone represents my fiance’s Italian side (we are having Irish dancers come to represent my heritage). Which would you prefer as a guest? The torrone might be a little much because we also have a candy table!

aconnor82: I always prefer edible favors. While the bottle openers are pretty, I’d probably leave mine as a guest.

Why not put terrone on the candy table and then give the key out as your favor?

I don’t know what Torrone is but I can always use a bottle opener so I would like that. That’s one of the few non-edible favors I would like.

aconnor82: Bottle opener; I like bottle openers and stoppers and would definitely use it.

Neither. Don’t stress about favors. A candy bar is enough.
While pretty and decorative, I’d have no use for another bottle opener, in my house.

I don’t think either is necessary, especially with a candy table. We already have so many bottle openers that this would just get thrown into our ‘junk’ drawer and would rarely be used and candy seems kind of pointless when you already have a candy table.

I would love to get a bottle opener as a favor…especially one as cool as that. We drink a lot of beer at my place.

I’d skip the candy because of the candy table. I personally wouldn’t use the bottle opener either (too girly for my taste). I would consider either not doing a favor, or doing something entirely different. Just my opinion!

Maybe a twist on the idea- put a big display of the Torrone on the candy table with a sign that explains it’s to take home? That way you give a favor, but it’s on the table you already planned.
I do love the bottle openers, but I think people would see the candy as favors anyway so you’d just have 2!

I usually prefer edible favors but in this case my vote goes to the bottle opener – it’s unique, looks lovely, goes with your theme, and you’ll be having a candy table already.

I like the bottle opener because it’s something I would actually have use for at home. Also, I realize that I’m probably in the minority, but I really dislike candy, so I never like it as a favor.

I really like both of your ideas. As others suggested, can you put the torrone as part of your candy table? If not, I would go with the bottle opener. They go with your theme and they are very pretty. I gave out similar bottle openers at my engagement party, and my friends still use them. My older relatives have them on display as a keepsake.

While the bottle opener is more useful, it’s a little cheesy. I’d prefer a nicely designed or modern one. Plus a lot of us have bottle openers, but I guess they’re easy to use.
I’ve never heard of torrone candy. I hope it’s really yummy, because you don’t want guests to remember how awful it was.
I’m torn, I guess. I don’t like candy as favors because it’s boring and disappears in seconds (although your candy is sorta a novelty). I don’t have a need for a bottle opener, but would keep it in the drawer if I got one. People might find your candy more interesting.

I would wonder why you gave us Cheesy keys (wouldnt realize it was a bottle opener) and leave it at the reception. even if I realized what it was, I’d leave it because I already have a few.
The candy favor sounds good but you should skip the candy table imo. They’re usually wastes of time and money at weddings where everyone is fed, given dessert, and beverages and should hopefully be having fun dancing and mingling.
