I used mywedding.com – It was by far the site that was the most customizable – you can even add music!  🙂  Have fun with it!

We are using Weddingwindow.com  I love it so far.  It’s totally customizable.  It cost something like $80/year which is really expensive in my opinion.  But I really couldn’t get the customization I wanted with other sites.  Before Weddingwindow, I also tried Mywedding.com and creating my own on Blogger.  I didn’t like Blogger because you couldn’t easily password protect the entire site.  MyWedding.com was nice, but it didn’t allow total customization in the ways I wanted.

I used mywedding.com – it’s free and it was prefect for what I was looking for (you can customize pages, tons of great backgrounds to choose from – very easy to use!)

I used wedsite.com. It was something like $60 for two  years. It’s amazing. Totally customizable in so many ways (including music). You can have as many photos and photo albums as you want, etc. I really love it and our guests have given us tons of compliments on it! Oh and for instance on the travel page, you can put the hotel, and then a Google link AND MAP to the hotel. I freakin love it!!! PM me if you want and I’ll send you our site and password.

I didn’t really look into any wedding websites before I created ours so I just used the free site that comes with the Knot account.  The site itself is fine for what I want – but last night, in the middle of uploading a bunch of photos, the whole site went down for maintenance!  The URL you get is kind of long, too.  My advice is to NOT use the free site on the Knot!

I had a site at the Knot, but it wasn’t customizable enough for me and the URL was waay tooo long so I switched to http://www.weebly.com. I can customize anything, its free, I gets lots of space and lots of pages, its super easy to use, and best of all- I got to pick my own, super short URL! So far, more people are visiting it then ever visited my Knot site.

If you’re a mac user, you can use iWeb and make your own website. That’s what my husband did. They have some templates available which you can customize. You can also add pictures, music, or just about anything that you want.
