only you can make that decision.  what ring do you picture wearing for the rest of your life?

I would choose the cheaper setting. You can always upgrade the setting when time and money allow. I chose the second setting because it is also my favourite one; the first is quite busy, which is not my taste.

Why not leave it up to your FI to decide between the two if you’d be equally happy with either? You can see what he gets you!

Can you get the setting you want and have choice of center stone? Sounds like you like setting #1 but would like a diamond.

@FutureMrsV2016:  I hope he gets you a ring that you LOVE! Sounds like he really can’t go too wrong. 🙂

Honestly it’s up to you. I like #2 more but I have very simple tastes when it comes to jewelry (I have a solitaire and wouldn’t really want anything else, even your #2 is a little much for my personal aesthetic lol).

I would go with the ring of your dreams and a 1ct FB moissanite, that way you get the best of everthing! I do notice the side detailing on my ring all the time, and appreciate it. That said, I don’t wear a wedding band with my ring.

Is it possible to get the setting you love with a diamond? I am a Tacori girl myself, and have to say that I do love/notice the detailing on my ring on a regular basis. I also get many compliments on my ring based on the detailing. Either setting is gorgeous/very detailed, so you can’t go wrong either way!
