Background: I’m spending the summer abroad and going back to school this fall. I need a part time job to take care of bills I while I’m in school. Because I’ll be away for 6 weeks, it would be convenient to have something when I come back. It would be hugely stressful to come back with bills and unemployment at the same time.
Job A is 6 miles away, 20 hours a week. It’s also my current job. Pros are l know it will work out, since I’ve been there a while, and I like the family (I’m a nanny/sitter). Cons are I may lose hours, and I can’t afford to, and even now 20 hours is on the low side for me.
Job B is 15 miles away, 25 hours a week. Pro is more hours, con is that I don’t have that same assurance that it will be a good fit. The family seems wonderful, but I haven’t spent nearly as much time with them as with my current family.
Job C may not actually exist. It’s the option of looking for something new entirely, something perfect that may not even be out there. It would also leave me unemployed when I get back
