I am scheduling an appointment to go back to a salon for a follow up appointment. The right dress brought me and my mom to tears, but it’s not what I originally pictured or wanted so I’m nervous. I think the left one is beautifully simple, and I always love love love organza.
I am 5’7″ and a size 0 with a fairly hourglass shape. I will pair either with simple accessories and a cathedral veil. The shop did not allow photos.
The two words I would like to be described with in my dress are stunning and timeless. Which dress fits that description to you?

Is the one on the right allure? I think thats my dress!! Obviously I am biased but the beading on it is gorgeous. Even prettier in person. I don’t like how the beading abruptly stops on the dress to the left.

I honestly don’t think there is a huge difference between the two- same shape, same style, both beaded but in different spots. If I had to wear one of them, it would probably be the one on the right.
ETA just read the poll question… I don’t think either of these dresses is timeless. I know you said the left one is simpler, but i don’t necessarily think it’s simple in an elegant way.

MeiFrancis: thanks! I have such a small frame I get lost in anything that’s not fitted, so I can’t go for the truly Classic A line and ballgown without feeling like I’m carrying a dress. The left one just seems “simpler” to me because it’s one plain consistent fabric underneath the beading, rather than varied fabrics and patterns of lace.

Both dresses are very beautiful, but I would not describe either as timeless. If you’re going for stunning, I would choose the dress on the right, because, in my opinion, it is more of a statement dress. The bling at the top is stunning in and of itself, and the lace at the bottom is exquisite. The ony caveat I will note is that it really doesn’t matter which dress I or anyone else finds more stunning. What matters is this: Which dress, if you do NOT choose it, will you be unable to get out of your mind?

Right! Love the neckline andthe beading!

imsandradee: both are lovely! Its hard to say without seeing the dress on you but I’d go with your initial gut feeling. What model is the Mori lee? It’s stunning!

Just a thought, have you tried allure 9018? It’s similar but kind of a mixture of your two dresses! I fell in love wih the allure dress you have posted but ended up loving this one more when I kept looking! The 9018 has a built in corsette (which is hidden… It has the same back as your allure with the buttons all the way down). The hidden corsette felt amazing and gave it more structure. You really can’t go wrong with any of them though! They are all stunning

They’re both beautiful, but my vote is for the one on the right! I just like the beading on it better, the other one seems to stop in a weird place. At least in the picture. But you can’t go wrong with Mori Lee or Allure 🙂

I like the Allure better because of the detailing on the bottom. The Mori Lee’s bottom looks sort of unfinished in comparison.

imsandradee: they are both gorgeous, could not go wrong with either. What do the backs look like?

Personally I like the one on the left better. However, if you are looking for something “timeless” as you stated, I think the one on the right is more timeless.
I find it so helpful to take photos of myself in the dresses so I can home and look at them in my own time. You notice so much more that way. Is it possible to find another salon that has both and lets you take photos? I have been to many salons and have never been to one that doesn’t allow photos, so there should be some that allow them in your area.
Good luck. Both are beautiful.

I definitely prefer the one on the right… it’s way prettier 🙂 The one on the left is too ‘simple’.. nothing about it stands out. The one on the right immediately stands out and looks gorgeous.
