So I think that picking a pair of shoes has been my most difficult decision in this whole wedding! How ridiculous is that? Haha! Anyways! I went to my first fitting last weekend and I was told I need a heel between 2 inches, and it can go up to 2.5, 2.75 inches, in order to avoid hemming my dress! My colors are navy and yellow… and I would really love a pair of bright yellow shoes under my dress… and to have it compliment my fiance’s yellow tie 🙂 The ladies are wearing Navy and the guys will have navy ties. ANYWAYS! My wedding is mid June and it is a beach wedding. I wanted something beachy, yet comfortable if possible (I have wide feet). I’ve found a few options that might work!
First, here is me in my dress:
Here is shoe # 1:
Option #4: Suggest Something!
They are all pretty different, I realize. Just want to know what other people think!! Thanks so much!

The wedge is super cute! I’m partial to wedges, though, since that’s what I wore as my wedding shoe. They were super comfy, too!!

I actually really like the wedge! It screams “beach wedding” to me for some reason. Plus, it would be easier to walk in sand in a wedge.

I also like the wedge a lot!! It is very beachy.. and not only is it cute, but it’s supposed to be very comfortable too 🙂

I love the wedge and I think it would perfect for your beach theme.
As a Bridesmaid or Best Man that fought the tedious battle of sinking into grass throughout an entire ceremony i would suggest avoiding heels for the sand/grass. It just makes life easier.

@Treejewel19: Agree! I am pretty sure I am going barefoot for the ceremony itself, and then will put the shoes on for the rest of the day!

I suggest these… they are by Nina

I think the wedges would be perfect for a beach wedding.

@bells: I was just going to post the same ones!

If it’s a beach wedding I think the wedge would be best.

I like the wedges for sure!
Is it the right color yellow though?
I did find these on shiekhshoes if you’re needing a brighter yellow… the wedge is a 3″ but I figure in the sand you would “sink” just a bit?

I love the wedge! I also think the shade of yellow on the wedge is a lot nicer.

@bells: My cousin made us buy a cheap knock off of those exact shoes! They were so painful, all way too big and the yellow dye turned brown the moment it got wet in the grass. I wish I had known about the REAL thing by Nina. 🙁

I like these – they seem to go with the whimsical nature of your dress.
