…apparently, the bf has been making an inspiration board for my future e-ring.
I’ve not really thought about weddings or engagement at all for a couple of months, aside from some brief trips onto WeddingBee, because I’ve been really focused on how I’m going to decorate our new apartment. This focus includes making (and obsessing over) inspiration boards for the different rooms.
I was talking about one of these boards to the Bf one night and he said “Oh, I actually made one of those. What do you think?” Thinking it was a board for his study area, I was stunned to see six rings on his monitor.
Looks like my future e-ring will have a colored gemstone in the middle with a diamond halo or just two flanking diamonds set in white gold. So exciting!
Oh and of course I told him the truth and said that I loved them all. 🙂
He got me to narrow it down to the three I liked the most. He’s such a spoil-sport.
I can’t believe that this means he’s really considering it and looking at rings and everything. Awesome!

That is so sweet! What a lovely guy you must have.
What’s on your board for your apartment? Colours? Furniture? I love planning and this sounds like a really fun way to do it.

That’s awesome! How fun 🙂 I love that your BF is thinking about that – kind of day dreaming 🙂
DH and I will probably start looking at houseneon a year ish (planning to wait for our debt to be paid off…) …I think making inspiration boards for the different rooms is a brilliant idea! There’s not a lot of furniture we’ll have to buy right away (probably a love seat and/or chairs)… But we haven’t painted our apartment at all, so it’ll be fun to pick colors 🙂

That’s so cute – I literally said “aww!” 🙂

That is adorable and exciting! What kind of gemstone is it going to be?

@graciej: I’ve been going room by room, using piece of furniture I know we’ll have, like my cranberry-colored throw (“my space”/vanity/dressing area) or our blue comforter (bedroom) or a thrifted turquoise colored vase (living room), and built the room around it in colors I like. It is especially useful to use pictures from target/walmart/amazon for their white backgrounds… and because most of the stuff we have comes from those places, its easy to find a nice picture of the items. And… it keeps me from going off and building a room around some $1000 spice rack I’ll never actually own.
@bellasperanza: The colored stones he had were amethyst (purple), sapphire (blue), aquamarine and black diamonds. I think he’ll lean toward the black stone or sapphire because they are darker, but I won’t know for sure until he proposes. 🙂
