purchase baked goods and in the course of a week gain 1.5lbs!
Hubs is on a 2 week work trip and I was like ohhh we never have baked yumminess in the house I think I’ll buy some cupcakes, the next day it was cookies…
Oh and I splurged on goat cheese.
Where is my self control?! 🙁
I need to get to the gym, stop buying baked goods, never look at another cupcake again.
Please tell me I’m not alone in doing this…also some motivation would be nice. 🙂

You’re not alone. But for me, one thing that helps me control myself is getting up and exercising- when I have just sweated my ass off for 45 minutes, I’m less likely to gorge and ruin all that hard work.

check! just came back from the gym! 20 minutes on the bike, 10 minutes on the elliptical and 15 on the treadmill. I get bored. 🙂

When FI is away I consume sooooo much chocolate & carbs it’s not funny. I totally understand.

@notbridey: 1.5 lbs in chump change in reality. a person’s weight will flucuate up to 6 lbs a day depending on when you take it and if you are wearing the same things each time. now if you said 10 lbs i’d be concerned ; ) but having said that, i do know it can be distressing : P

yeah definitely got some carb loading going on over here. SO MUCH PASTA AND POTATOES!! and glorious glorious bread!

@LilyBee70: that’s why i’ve had pasta for like 5 meals in a row! 🙂 and the sweets. he likes sweets but says he doesn’t…he just has less self control than me. 😛
@icetea: yeah that could have gone badly i suppose…but for me it’s eat and watch chick flicks and hang with my lady friends.

I binge on sweets and then the next day work them off like crazy! I’m not sure if he knows why I become a gym junkie (I go once a day, but when i eat horrible i work out til i burn all those calories lol)

Go nuts. I don’t usually eat much if he’s gone, but I seriously don’t know what to do with myself and end up getting into some sticky situations.
One time, he was on camping trip and I was like, “Yeah, I’m totally going to go blonde and look awesome when he comes back (I’m a brunette)”. So, at midnight, I went and got hairdye and turned my hair bright orange.
It was a travesty.

I don’t eat any better or worse when FI is around or away. However, I do watch more trashy TV, which is equally terrible and damaging (just to my brain, not my hips).

I’ve been guilty of that when DH has been gone for work trips, but next time he goes away, I’ll focus on going to the gym instead of food, lol. I’m still trying to get myself back in the habit of working out more.

yeah I hit the gym pretty hard after my cupcake binge
the last time i dyed my hair at home it was a streaky mess…never again. i am also done with plucking my own eyebrows. it ends in disaster!
i’m all caught up on all my hulu episodes and all of the currently posted bravo shows (no tv at home but i watch waaaay too much on the computer 🙁 )
that’s what i said i would do this time…didn’t workout so well. shucks.

@notbridey: I used to drink lots of wine and eat nothing but raw veggies with hot sauce when DH went on business trips.
But now I’m pregnant, and when DH went on his last business trip I was like “Well. What do I do now?” So I went and visited family, and GAINED 5 POUNDS. In 3 days!
