Yes, actually. I told my SO last night that we’re going to start working out at least 3-4 times a week together. It’s not solely for waiting purposes though. It’s mostly because we’ve been eating like crap the past month and I need to tone up.

@NYCkindaBee:  Absolutely!!  I am WWWW!!  LOL! Tongue Out

I’ve told some other bees on here, but I recently went to try on wedding dresses as apart of the preengagement process…they were having a closeout sale where all dresses that were $800-1100 were on sale for $100..00, and since SO and I have committed to getting married, I thought it wouldn’t hurt to look Embarassed

Anyway…..I HATED how I looked in most of the dresses.  My midsection could use some tightening up, my hips, thighs, I just didn’t feel my best.  I’ve *sorta* (and not on purpose!!) let myself go.  I got on the scale and I have put on 20lbs!!!  I’m such a happy eater, and SO loves pasta, pot pies, potatoes….and I’ve been cooking these for him and eating them too!!

I’ve decided to do a holiday diet challenge, where I have mostly tried to have a healthier Thanksgiving, and I’ve been working out and making strides towards eating better in general this holiday season.  I’m just fortunate that for the most part, my SO is willing to eat whatever healthy meal I want to make!

Good luck on your WWWW!!  Great Thread, this is a wonderful distraction while waiting, and I always feel better about myself when I’m in shape! Cool

When we started thinking of where we wanted to get married, I started dieting.  I’m down 35lbs.  I will keep dieting until we get married, but I’m a slow loser and am focusing on getting fit.  I started running and we’ll be doing 4 miles today, which I wouldn’t have imagined a year ago even though I am incredibly slow (14 min mile which may as well be power walking) but it’s much better than where I was at an I’m a month in on running.

I wish I was watching my weight. I’ve been so lazy lately. I’ll be one of those people who start in the New Year.

@Peaceoutboyscout:  IT’s sooo hard to watch the ole weight this time of year.  I’m just trying to throw in some salads here and there for lunch…but I’ll be stepping it up for sure in January.  Seems to be when all the special K products/diet food goes on sale anyhow!!

@NYCkindaBee: Good Luck to you too! I just weighed in and somehow it read like I put on 2lbs BUT I’ve been eating so good lately AND I honestly feel llike my clothes fit better!  I’m trying to convince myself that it’s my clothes, shoes, jewelry that account for 4 lbs!!

PS I don’t have a scale at home, I just weigh myself at the grociery store lol.

I could always loose a few lbs but why stress myself out over the holdiay season? Maybe once the new year starts. My SO and I are foodies though so its def hard. So happy that I will be engaged within the next 6-7 months!:)
