It was a blur, but I do have many memories from throughout the day. My best memory actually happened at 4am.. we were asleep, and my husband got up to adjust the thermostat in the hotel room, which also woke me up. Once he realized I was awake, he told me how perfect our wedding had been, how hard it was to believe that we were actually married, and how excited he was to start our life together. Definitely my favorite memory, even though it technically occurred post-wedding :).

It definitely was a blur, but there are snippets of things I can remember throughout the whole day. I still for the life of me can hardly remember our ceremony, even though I know I felt so present during it. Looking at pictures definitely helps bring the memories back too! This is why I wish we got video!

Everything happened so fast, I can barely remember anything either. I even said that to my DH yesterday. I said, “did the entire wedding feel like a total dream to you”. Of course, he said “no, I remember everything”. Maybe it’s because I did 90% of the decorating and slaving over the little details. I guess it left my brain in a blur for when the ceremony/reception actually came along.

My ceremony was a whirlwind and I was SO EXCITED to have video footage of it so I could see what happened! 😉

Totally agreed. Only bits and pieces. Our cinematographer gave us a feature length recently that showed the majority of our ceremony and at the end after we kiss and our officiant announces us, DH says to me “We’re lobsters!!!” (10 points for the Friends reference) and I say “Lobsters!!!” and then he twirls me. I seriously don’t remember that. Who forgets talking about lobsters right after you’re married?! LOL! Thank god there’s video proof!

Lol, I remember bits and pieces too – the reception is mostly a blur as is the ceremony! Glad we have the rest of our lives to make memories I’ll remember (hopefully!)

Everyone told me this would happen, so I took quite a few moments to really look around at our wedding and soak it in.  I’m so glad that I got the advice to take those mental snapshots because everything does move so quickly!
