I really hope that this is not an issue - its not like the bride owns the color white!! Men will wear white shirts right? No big deal. If you KNOW the color of the bridesmaid dresses and it is really unsual (not black) then it would be nice of you not to match, but if that is the only dress you own that works, wear it!
I agree, I have never heard of a "no white accessory" rule. I think its fine. As for the BM dresses, I also agree with Janna19.
I also think that white accessories are a problem, either! I definitely wouldn't be offended if people came to my wedding in a white/ivory clutch. Go for it!
But you shouldn't wear a color that is too similar to the bridesmaids, if you know ahead of time and can help it.

Okay, hive- this may be a silly question, but I know if anyone knows the answer, it's the Bees!
I know wearing white or ivory to another person's wedding is a big no-no, but what about white or ivory accessories? I've had my eye on a pretty ivory clutch to carry to my SIL's wedding, but is that kind of thing reserved for the bride only? Also, what about wearing a dress that's in the same color family as her bridemaids dresses? Good idea or bad idea? (Not that I'm planning to do this, I'm just curious).
