I love the idea of a white wedding but not a “wintery white” since I live in a tropical location and will be getting married in the summer. Do you think it’s okay to include shades of cream, ivory, etc.? I also plan to go wild and have some beige and gold in there.
My dress will most likely be white.

I think it will be fine. It will be a nice clean look.

I don’t see why not. It is a matter of personal choice and if you like those colors, then what’s the problem. 🙂

I think that would be beautiful.. and if you wanted to, you could always add a pop of color, every color will go beautifully with that scheme.

I’m getting married in the fall and am using the same color scheme! I’m accenting the flowers with some greenery and my florist is using taupe & black in some of the accent pieces. The more I think about it, the more I love it! I think you’re choice will be beautiful! White decor can be very dramatic and still classic at the same time.

Thanks for the input. I guess I get a little freaked out when I see things on wedding websites like “white favor boxes” vs. “ivory wedding boxes.” It makes me think that they are two completely separate camps that I am not supposed to mingle.
Someday, when the wedding is over, I will realize how crazy this all sounds.

I think it will look lovely. It’s a great combination!
We are doing a formal black and white wedding, but we’ve included other colors present in our venue’s ballroom…ivory/cream, gray, and gold.
Glad to know someone else is thinking of a similar color scheme!

I totally think all shades of white, ivorys, creams, etc. look great together. It will add depth and interest, rather than just having everything one shade.
