I've seen it in a wedding magazine once, and it was a "real" wedding. It looked beautiful. Although, I believe the BM dresses were ivory, though. But each B< had a different color bouquet, and it was stunning. Very modern and elegant.
I wish I could find the pictures, but I can't! It was in Modern Brides a few months ago.
ohhh amazing! Thank you for the tip, I'll look for it! I love the idea of different colors of bouquets. Do you remember if the bride wore ivory too? I was thinking of putting them in ivory shorter length dresses and me in a white longer gown... I'm wondering if the white next to the ivory would look alright.
I have seen it a few times and it looks really elegant!
Here is a pic I found of champagne coloured dresses!
I LOVE this look and tried to do it! There are some great pictures out there -- check our project wedding. I ultimately changed my mind (going with black) because my dress is almost champagne colored and it was too hard to figure out which kind of white matched. I think the look works best when everyone is in true white.
Good luck!
I like the look too! You have so many options with colors for flowers. Good luck!
i know i love this too... i am so bad at making decisions about colors for some reason. i really just can't decide on which color i like best to put the leading ladies in, so i thought white was perfect, but i didn't know how crazy it would be!
i can't thank you guys enough for your help and support! these pictures are awesome!
This can look really pretty and elegant. I know my grandma had all white BM dresses in her wedding in 1948 and it was really pretty in the black and white photos.
I think it looks great!
Some book I was reading on the history of the American wedding mentioned that bridesmaids sometimes were in white dresses along with the bride - something about confusing bad spirits that may be after the bride on her big day. I guess supernatural beings didn't know enough to go for the girl standing right next to the guy in the suit.
I think it can look beautiful, but I think you really need something to set the bride apart. Styles of dresses, lengths, shades of white... something like that.
I read in one of my Bridesmaid books that traditionally (like in Ancient Greece or something) the bridesmaids all dressed like the bride to confuse the evil spirits and protect the bride. :)
It does look really good!
I wasn't too sure about this until I saw the pictures that the ladies above posted. They looked fabulous. I think you can so pull this off and look amazing!
I really wanted to do this but was outvoted by my fiance and bridesmaids! I say go for it!
I think that it would look great...especially after seeing the above pictures! I agree though that a pop of color on a sash or with their bouquets will help them stand out differently than you as the bride...
I've never seen anything like this before or heard of. I think it's an excellent idea and looks very lovely, sophisticated, chic, and different. Go for it! I am wearing ivory with a champagne sash. All of my girls are in Champagne with bright bouquets
i can't thank you ladies enough. as soon as i find white or ivory dresses that i like i'll post them on here to get your feedback again!
I saw a wedding on style me pretty where the bridesmaid were wearing light pewter dresses and it was lovely. Miss Chick also commented on it : http://www.weddingbee.com/2009/08/28/more-bridesmaid-color-decisions/
I think that as long as your dress is slightly different colour it looks beautiful.
I think it would be incredibly chic! I originally wanted a small back yard summer wedding and my girls would have worn white eyelet summer dresses. I'm so heartbroken they won't be wearing white dresses anymore. From white to black haha :)
I am strongly considering white BM dresses, but one question I have:
would you have your groom and groomsmen wear white also?
Classy and fresh!
@huebnera, what about khaki? i think if all the dudes are in white too it may be white overload!!!
if you wanted to add a pop of color, have them wear a colored sash around their waist to differientiate them from your dress.

Has anyone ever seen or done white bridesmaid dresses? I'm thinking of going for it because I think it will look awesome. Any thoughts on this?
