Hi! I, too, am getting a dress from DB that they won't alter the style of (I want a sweetheart neckline). Can you take it to an independent seamstress for your alterations? If I were you, I'd take that photo and any others you might have to a seamstress pronto and see what they think they can do for you. Good luck!!
I've thought about it over a thousand times basically the neckline would end up looking like a lazaro gown where the back of the dress would be lower down the back than some typical vera wang styles. But i'm unsure if that would take away from the vera wang gown. If anyone has photos of their alterations to this dress i would love to see them.
I took mine to an independent seamstress to sweetheart the neckline. I have the blush pink vw351011
I'd ask an independent seamstress. but going from straps to strapless can be a bit tricky, not all dresses are made with enough support to stay up if the straps aren't there.
Bumping this to ask-- did you ever turn this into a strapless dress?
Hi, no i ended up purchasing the VW diana through preownedweddingdresses.com because it was a lot of work to turn this into strapless as well as add the appropriate support inside. But if anyone else did do the work please post pictures

HI everyone!
i'm new to this blog but i've read so many helpful posts that i cant help but post myself. I'm excited for the white by vera wang gowns at david's bridal. I tried on a few and i love the v neck with straps and i like the way it looks but i want to make it a strapless dress. Of course i asked the tailor at david's bridal and they stay firm with not being able to alter any vera wang dresses. HAs anyone felt the same way and have successfully altered the dress who have photos to share?? what are your thoughts??
