Whomever was giving you crap about wearing a white dress in winter? They're nuts. you'll look absolutely gorgeous. Looks like you're in AL, so I assume no snow, but still. People are dumb. Don't give it a second thought!! Tell that person you'll wear a lime green dress in winter if you feel like it.
Ugh. My FMIL said something similar. I went with Diamond white because it looks better on me, but I'm still determined to show her that ANYONE can wear white WHATEVER time of year. Boo on nay-sayers.
I think that you are MORE than okay wearing your white gown in winter. I can't believe anyone would think to say that?? I mean, it is a wedding dress....it is going to be white!!! I can't really tell the difference between ivory, white, diamond white, etc. They are all shades of white so you have NOTHING to worry about.

Hey all! I'm getting married in Jan. 2010...I have purchased Maggie Sottero Caleigha (my dream dress) in white, and my wedding colors are dark red, black, and white. Originally they were going to be dark red, black, and ivory but we only started planning last month and the dress was ONLY available in white, so I changed it. My question is...is it ok to wear WHITE (not diamond white or ivory) in the winter? For a winter wedding?? I didn't think anything was wrong with it until the other day someone said "you're wearing a WHITE wedding dress in the middle of winter??" Kinda upset me.
