About once per year is average. I'd say whenever you start noticing any discoloration, which may be less often than every year.
You'll notice when it needs it. It depends on your work and how you wear it. The insurance is great, so I'd have it done once a year as marigold suggested. The more it's exposed to things like household cleaners, soap, lotion, oil, etc, the more it will oxidize and need to be re-dipped.
My Fiance also got all the extras for my engagement ring and I have had it for 7 months now. I had it redipped at 6 months when I had to take my ring in to get the diamonds checked... figured I am without it anyways might as well do everything all at once! They told me it would take a week, I had 2 loss diamonds on my engagement ring and one one on one of my wedding bands, but it took 2 days!
As part of my insurance, I'm supposed to take my e-ring in every 6 months. I am already starting to tell it needs dipped, and I have 2 months before I'm supposed to take it in. = )
Does anyone know if Jewelers Mutual covers rhodium re-plating?
@JoJo, I don't believe so. I think the insurance the others are talking about is through the jewelry store FI bought the ring from and acts more like a maintenance package. Jewelers Mutual is more of a accident/loss insurance sort of like what you get for your car.
Yeah, we have a maintenance package through the jeweler that covers that, so I'll be getting mine done once a year.
Hah. I think it's really going to depend on you. I got mine re-dipped right before the wedding (2 months ago) and they're already pretty yellow. I wear through the rhodium pretty quickly apparently. At first it bothered me but not so much anymore. I probably won't be getting mine re-dipped frequently.
I think I'm going to have take mine every 6 months. I noticed yellowing after only 4 months!
Does anyone else have trouble with very fine scratches? I keep noticing them on my ring and I just had it redipped in October. I probably will have it done again mid-July before our big wedding ceremony. I'm a nurse, so I'm pretty sure my ring goes through a lot more than most lady's rings.

Hey ladies :) Quick question about white gold upkeep. How often should you have it re-dipped it in the rhodium coating? Obviously bought the insurance, so it's free and I could do it all the time, I suppose, but I was just wondering how often on average people are getting theirs re-dipped?
