what about a peach colors a la Miss Cowboy Boot?
If it were me, I think I'd throw in some pops of natural greens, but peach or light pink is a lovely addition.
Your dress is beautiful! I love the feel you're going forl
I would either do a range of peaches, pale pinks, and mauves, like Miss Cowboy Boot, or do a muted subdued aqua. Let me find an inspiration board, hold on.
OR how about this?

This one has more browns in it, but the Kraft would look fantastic!

This was the original one I was thinking of:

While I'm at it, here are some invitations:
Wow wow wow. Thanks for those great suggestions!
I LOVE all of the boards, and the invitations especially!
Since you've been so great... if I were to go with White, Kraft, and muted Aqua, or even a blush color, what kinds of flowers would you choose?? :)
I like the colors of the kraft and white, but there needs to be a color to tie things in and give a bit of "something" imho. A third color is needed.
I like the periwinkle blue color or an apple green is great with those 2 colors.
I am glad you liked them! I took them from the blog called 100 Layer Cake.
For flowers....in July. I would do soft, fluffy flowers. Nothing too structured, like calla lilies. (Sorry if you liked those!) If you can get peonies, those are like the ideal wedding flower. I also like ranunculus. If you can't get those (they're a bit pricier I think) then go with lisianthus, sweetpea, maybe hydrangea? Hydrangea wilt very quickly out of water, especially on a hot day in July. English roses are lovely. Look at Miss Cowboy Boot's posts on flowers. She has great ideas. If you did the tan/beige/browns for BM dresses, and blush/peach for flowers, you could bring in the aqua with ribbons to wrap the bouquets, on the invites, for favors, etc. Ooh, I am really liking this!! :-)
I am loving the idea of muted aqua.
Though, I simply can't choose between muted aqua and blush pink!
I love the idea of garden roses (or hydrangea), sweet peas, freesia, and maybe something else... all in white. A muted aqua runner going down the table would tie everything together.
Unless you have all the flowers be white, blush pink would still work with the muted aqua. There aren't any flowers in muted aqua (unless you do some succulents that have a bluish tint to them). You could have the ceremony part be kraft/white/aqua, then add in the blush pink for the reception part for the flowers and a few other things. We are kinda changing the colors for our reception, making them a little richer, since it will be at night and I wanted a more elegant feel, less garden party, KWIM?
Have you also considered hiring a planner to help you focus all your vision? Just a thought...mine has helped me a lot with that...
Jenny, I haven't thought of hiring a planner. I don't think its really in our budget, but thanks for the input. I think instead I'll just drive you all, my fiance, my mother, and my BMs crazy! LOL
MMmmm ... I love this post! My colors are dark blue, blush pink and kraft paper brown. There are some great inspiration boards here. *marks it as a fave*
Let us know what you pick, alieliza!
Ok ladies... Thanks to all of your help I've been able to create a new inspiration board.
Now, this is by no means set in stone, but It does give me a good idea as to how white, kraft, and blush will go together, and what kinds of vessels, decor, etc. go well together.
Its not anywhere near as stylish and abstract as the above boards, but its a shot anyway.
Middle Picture: My dress
Row 1: Mismatching earth toned bridesmaids dresses, Pretty, pretty flowers (I'm thinking garden roses, dahlias and sweet peas) in pretty, shiny, antiquey pink vessels
Row 2: More flowers, Invitation Inspiration
Row 3: More invitations, and lanters (who doesn't love lanterns?)
Wow, you've come a long way! What's funny is this is so similar to what we're doing, only in place of the browns, we're doing greys. We are using old silverplate pieces for the centerpieces, to hold the flowers. Those pink antiquey vessels you posted are mercury glass, I think I remember seeing them at Jamali Garden online. I really like the board you posted, it's very pretty and sweet, but the kraft stuff keeps it modern, you know? Very nice overall. You'll have an easy time coordinating things now that you have a board, they're so helpful to visualize everything.
I know I already said this, but I'm seriously LOVING your wedding inspiration, alieliza. I think it goes great with your dress AND your venue!
Thanks Ms. Bunny!
I actually just made a new inspiration board, this time with aqua and less blush...
I really like it and think its a good meld of the both of them.
I will probably have mostly white flowers with some very light blush pink flowers, and incorporate more aqua with things like napkins (I'm thinking of making napkins out of the sheets shown there) and such.
Also, Ms. Bunny, I'm glad that you think that the dress goes, because that was one thing I was worried about. I guess it helps to bridge the gap between whimsical and vintage romance.
I love that last inspiration board you posted - and I think your dress is beautiful.
love kraft paper....commenting so i can save images at a later date ;)
I love your dress and am looking for one like it for my wedding in May. Would you consider selling it? Or renting it?
Best, Lisa

I have been through about a million and one ideas already when it comes to color choices and decor.
I went from white and green, to hot pink, cobalt and turquoise, back to white, turquoise, green, and kraft, and now I'm having second thoughts.
Our wedding is at my parent's house in upstate New York, and as much as I really like the idea of a spa themed wedding, complete with lounge areas, orchids, and lots of turquoise, sort of like a tropical destination wedding brought to our hometown...
BUT... it really doesn't fit the location, and isn't that a big part of it all?? We chose the location not only for its sentimental value, but also for its beauty.
I do like the romantic, vintage inspired weddings, but it doesn't really go with my dress! I bought the J. Crew Celeste Pique Dot Dress quite some time ago, and I'm not willing to give it up! (See it below!)
Im having a hard time balancing color schemes, location, the feel of the whole wedding.
I know that I would like the bridesmaids to be in shades of neutral browns (As seen in the picture below)
I also know that I would LOVE to use kraft paper for my invitations. I love the color Kraft!!
Some more info. We are definitely DIYing the flowers, so the arrangement needs to be simple enough. We are getting married in July (2010) so flowers in season in the summer would be preferable.
We are doing Martha Stewart Poms to hang from the ceiling, (which will reflect the orbs in my dress), our wedding will be tented, and there will be a strong presence of sheer fabric on the outskirts of the tent (see picture below). It will be a very soft feel, and of course, everything is outside.
So... Kraft and white it is. And what else? I feel like a natural choice is light pink, but I'm just not sure.
I'm open to any and all suggestions!
