I originally was dead set on white. The dress im ordering is the sophia tolli lizbeth below, I tried it on in “alabastor ivory” and I believe the pic below is also that color. This made me start to think that maybe white isnt the way to go! It just made it look more timeless and vintage, which I love! However, my wedding accent color is yellow, and as you can see in my avatar pic I plan on wearing some pretty yellow shoes! the alabaster color def would not go with the yellow, but what about diamond white? any bees have a sophia tolli in diamond white? does it look more like ivory in pics? would it look bad with yellow flowers/shoes?? All these different colors of white make it so confusing! I just want to make sure I order the right color. Thank you ladies, your input is greatly appreciated 🙂

My dress is diamond white..but it’s Maggie Sottero. To me, it looks like plain ol’ white. However when I tried on dresses at the salon I asked them to show me a white dress and a diamond white dress side by side. The diamond white looked more ivory when right next to it…but when it’s on it’s own I just see white. They say not to get “white” white because it looks good on very few skin tones. When I went into it, I wanted “white” white, but my diamond white dress looks white enough for me!!

Diamond White has a bit of a pearl sheen to it, where White is just that. So, the Diamond White will look slightly less white than White. It will look a touch warmer, more elegant, and flattering. Yellow shoes would definitely work with Diamond White! 🙂

It’s funny that you said that about alabastor! I am also going to be wearing Sohpia Tolli. I always loved ivory, but I never would have thought about going a shade darker than that – until I tried on the sample. I agree completely – it made the dress feel “vintage,” which is the look I am going for! But you’re right…I don’t think it would go with yellow. I don’t know much about white or diamond white, but I am sure that either one will be fine with yellow. Either way, they’re both “white” so I think you’d be fine with either.
Love the dress, btw!
