We are having cupcake candelabras as our centerpieces (like here). I found a place a couple hours away that will rent them at a reasonable rate, but they’re gold. Our colors are grey, and pastel yellow & turquoise/teal.
At first I thought it wouldn’t match, so we could pay to have them painted silver (to go with the grey), or they would paint them white for free. I opted to have them painted white.
But when we went to the venue to finalize details, we realized the chiavari chairs are gold, and we selected ivory table linens, so now I’m think the white will clash and the gold won’t.
So should I keep it simple and keep them gold, or go ahead and have them painted white?

If you aren’t covering up the chairs, which of course, you won’t need to, I would say gold would look perfectly fine!

@kmarie719: hi date and state twin! 🙂 we are doing cupcake centerpieces as well! If you don’t mind me asking, where are you renting your candelabras and for how much?

I’d personally choose the gold.
But mostly I just wanted to comment that those cake candleabras are so freakin cute! I have never seen those before! Love em!!

@FutureMrsRR: Sorry for the delayed response! I found the place on recycled bride, and they are in CT. Now that it is tradesy I’m not sure how to locate them (they didn’t have a website).
Let me see if I can find it for you!
