Personally- I think ivory is more flattering on most people and ivory is just classic. My dress was ivory lace and my husband wore a white shirt with an ivory vest/tie. Loved the look. I definitely don’t look good in white at all- it made me look sickly. Ivories come in many different shades. One of the things that I loved about my dress over others I tried on was the particular shade of ivory on me.

I wore ivory lace (Mori Lee)! The sample I tried on was white and I felt it was too bright. When I picked up my dress for the first time I actually got emotional on the way home because I thought it looked exteremely yellow under the fluorescent lights and being surrounded by white in the bridal shop.

However, I LOVED my ivory dress on my wedding day and I am so happy with my decision now! My DH also wore an ivory tie/vest and I think it looked great 🙂

I think you should go try on dresses in different colors. Honestly it all depends on the undertones of your skin. Do you wear alot of bright white and think it looks good on you? Also, some dresses come in white, ivory, cream, ect. Each version has a different meaning depending on the label.

I went with a cream dress which is not ivory but not bright white as my undertones do not look good with white. You can see in the pics above that both are ivory and both have a different tone to it.

Best of luck and have fun shopping!
