Hey girls! Im going to be having a very formal vintage-inspired wedding. My colors are black and white. I really am not a big flower person but I definately want something with the WOW factor. So, I have decided on having my centerpieces made of white ostrich feathers such as the ones below. What do you think?

I love the ostrich feather look. I was considering doing those for my centerpieces for awhile just because I thought they were so beautiful but after thinking about it for awhile it wouldn't have went with our theme or our venue or my groom. But, since it goes with your theme I say go for it! I would love to walk into a reception venue and see something different like this!
I think they're sooo beautiful. Had our venue not offered to provide floral centerpieces free of charge (nothing too exciting, roses in a pewter vase lol) I would have gone with a feather centerpiece as well. They're stunning, everlasting, and definitely make a statement.

I dont need to say that I love this idea. If I hadnt done chandeliers... then this was my opion #2

I loooooove this idea! Thought about doing it myself til I realized the cost. There were other centerpieces I liked better for just as much.
I love feather centerpieces. I think those are simply fantastic, and would look awesome.
Wow! These are definitely dramatic. I'd love to use feathers somewhere in my wedding...
I had a bride that did that for a wedding =) I adored them too. Just make sure you place the big ones tall enough so that your guests can talk to each other.
I LOVE These!!! They didn't work for our venue but I would have used them in a heartbeat!!

@HapaBride: Those vases are amazing. I am thinking of doing something similar to this at my wedding. Do you know what those vases are called or where to find them?
Are you willing to sell your feathers, if you still have them that is? Are do you know where I can get them? How many did you use per center peice, and in all?

@Topolino: I am sorry I don't know what the vases are called and I rented them from my event designer. If you would like his information, I would be happy to pass it along!
@munksnlove: I actually gave them to my event designer. I am not sure what kind of shape they are in, but I could track them down for you. Also, I bought them from a store in Southern California that was going out of business (and getting rid of all their stock). I bought all their white ostrich feathers for a deal and that's why we used about 30 - 45 plumes per centerpiece. We had 10 tables with the white ostrich feather centerpieces. I think I bought about 380 plumes of varying sizes. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Please contact me if you have any other questions...
