Details: Tacori White Gold Setting. 2ct center natural white sapphire, diamond halo 2.5 tcw
What is your opinion on a white sapphire? I had some coworkers tell me it looks gaudy and fake.. They might be jealous, but I wanted some others opinions on a white sapphire :)
Hellecat has a beautiful white sapphire ring.... And I want it soooo soo bad.
I'm loving it, LOVING IT!! My sister has an oval cut white sapphire solitaire and it rocks my socks, I don't know where you work, but it would be best if those witches you call co-workers transfer to a broom factory so they can get happy STAT!
@Nona99: I love your comment! I'm a student, but I'm in a paid internship through Disney Weddings. Great place to work when you don't have a diamond. seriously they are so rude! & thank you!
@Araya: I just saw her ring, its very beautiful!
@Kaitykait23: That's really rude of them.
I assume they mean it looks like you're trying to pass it off as a diamond?
A white sapphire is a real sapphire lol.
I guess that's what happens with colorless stones that aren't diamonds, unfortunately.
Just ignore them.
Well honestly due to the center stone to me it does look like something I can find a Kohl's or JCP for $25. That's not jealously, it just looks like a piece of costume jewelry, not an e-ring to me. However I am not the one wearing it, you are. If YOU love it then that's the only thing that counts. I am giving my opinion becuase you asked, had you never asked I would never say a word because it's just rude to offer unasked for opinions on someone's e-ring.
@throughthebarricades: Yes! They told me I should have gotten a smaller cz if I wanted to pass it off as "real" & Its ashame I would degrade myself to a CZ. I've had Cz rings, and wouldn't care if I had a CZ.My SO came across some money recently and was able to buy me a sapphire. I was asked to take my ring off when assisting with clients, bc I'm giving off a "faux image" of disney weddings.
@Araya: Thank you! I love it! It was a wonderful suprise, and It really looks like a diamond!
@Kaitykait23: I have an all sapphire engagement ring, two of them are white. They're beautiful but you have to clean them often or they'll lose their sparkle.
I have absolutely NOTHING againest white saphires. I also love white topaz. That being said your ring is quite large for my taste. But really its all about what you think! If you love it who cares?
@Swizzle: I had a .75 moissy, that cracked, it was vintage, and from being resized so much, it cracked. This was forsure an upgrade, but it would have been more expensive to adjust the setting to fit a smaller stone (It was a retired/clearance/return) For some reason, my 1.5 pnk sapphire rin looks bigger than this one probably bc the other is a cushion. I've always liked smaller rings, & this doesnt feel like a 2ct center IMO. The pictures make it look larger
@zerlina: Thank you for the tip!! I love the way it sparkles already!
I think it's a gorgeous sapphire. I've never seen another stone with a bloom cut like yours and it's stunning. I'm also a non-diamond wearer (moissy) so I can relate to the comments/insecurities you are feeling. Just rock it!
I think it's very pretty. I don't see the fakeness to it seriously. Some people should just keep their mouths shut.
I have a white sapphire and love it! They have such a pretty sparkle. You're ring is gorgeous. Ignore those ladies and rock that rock
@jd2012: Thank you! A lot of people think it's a tiffany diamond! I do correct them, bc I'm not super rich. My white sapphire was ordered from a jewler in Panama.
@MissFireFlower: I figured! The setting was just a little over $1000. It was a return, my size already, retired etc.
@Kaitykait23: its beautiful i love your ring but what look are you going for?
your co worker might have said that cas the white Sapphire's do not look like diamonds.
still a very rude comment. but such a beautiful ring ; )
I think it's lovely and females can be so horribly catty to each other.
@ASH.: Thank you! I love white sapphires, it was a complete suprise too
@dlbaqua: especially when you are around disney wedding planners... haha
@HisNightOwl2014: @ZoeJane: Thank you, I told them I really like the look of a white sapphire, and its truly a personal opinon. The halo is diamonds, and I honestly can't tell the differnce from the naked eye, I think it is more sparkely bc it is bloom cut
its gorgeous honestly! and i agree with PP, females can be suuppeerrr envious.
Dont pay attention, its a beautiful ring
@Missus_LLC: Thanks! It looks very dainty to me. Honestly, They all have huge diamonds, Bigger and more expensive than mine, maybe they are fake, who knows! I love your ring too
@Kaitykait23: I think white sapphires are gorgeous. Your setting is beautiful too! I think it looks perfect.
@happybbbeee: Thank you so much!
I love hearing positive feedback about a non diamond! its really refreshing!
There's an epidemic of rude coworkers lately.
OP if you like the sapphire that is all that counts. The next time someone offers an unsolicited rude opinion about your ring, a simple "Why would you say that?" is a good response. "What makes you think I care about your opinion?" works too. Say both in a genuinely confused tone and watch the obnoxious become embarassed.
I think your ring is pretty.
LOVE IT!! I have a Tacori just like it but CZ and smaller. Your coworkers are some pieces of work. I can't believe they told you you can't wear it! Some girls a just bitches and think that if you don't have a diamond that they can talk shit. Not everyone wants a diamond!
I cannot believe someone asked you to take off your ring while you are dealing with clients! It is such a beautiful ring, no matter what its made of. I hope you haven't been taking off your ring just cause some bitches told you too!
Rock that ring girl!
@mrs-hues-to-be: No, I have kept it on. unfortunately I'm just the intern, but many disney wedding clients have complimented me on my ring bc they say it is unique
@ILoveMyKorat: I would love to see a picture of your ring!
@doberman: I did the whole why would you say that? and some stopped, some say bc its a cheap diamond knock off. geeze. and as the intern I can't say too much. so I come to vent to you ladies!
@Kaitykait23: it's beyond beautiful! i think the girls you work with are bitchy and jealous and need to stfu. why do they care so much about your ring? ridic! they need lives.
I can't believe anyone would say that! Whatever, they are awful and your ring is gorgeous!
@Kaitykait23: i like white sapphires, i like all stones actually. i think your ring is beautiful. not all erings have to be diamonds.
you said that the setting itself is all diamond. do you think that maybe your sapphire looks too different than the actual diamonds so it's making it look not real?
i've seen this before where the stones conflict visually. it even happens in diamonds when your centre stone and your side stones are not of the same quality. it throws off the look. i'm sure it looks fine but it can be noticable for someone who has an accute attention to detail.
@mypinkshoes: They are diamond specks haha not even that big. to me they are very tiny. I will take a better picture of it close up, so I don't think at all that it would be the whole eye for detail. Nobody but you guys on here know the setting has diamonds in it!
@slcall: Thank you!
@lanalnoco: I think its because I'm interning at disney fairy tale weddings withthe wedding planners. They are extremely snooty, and told me if I wanted to play with the big dogs, I'd need a better ring. I'm perfectly content "playing with the little dogs"
It's gorgeous. Anyone calling it gaudy and fake is rude, and I think you'd be entitled to let them know by saying something like, "Wow. Did you really just say that out loud?"
@Jijitattoo: yes! That is a good one, I will have to try it.
@mypinkshoes: I can't even take a picture of the diamonds bc the prongs around the center stone are so much bigger. I will try again tomorrow in the natural numlight. It literally just looks like silver sparkles around it! you can kind of see what I mean in the last pic I posted against the pink
@meetmethere2013: Dream right? lol. I was a pre med major, and switched to event and hospitality management, I had all my credits but needed internship hours, so I got an amazing opportunity, but the women are very, uppish, and the complete opposite of me!
That Disney Weddings thing sounds like a bunch of bullshit to me because they are not respecting that people differ and so do their ring choices! I can't believe they asked you not to wear it. Ugh-gross!
@Kaitykait23: ugh that sounds shitty , coworkers can make or break a workplace!
You might want to quit talking so poorly about your co workers... who are in the wedding business... on a wedding website that they most likely visit. Just an idea :)
