no one’s going to be paying close enough attention to see if your shoes match, so wear whatever you want 🙂

pretty dress, by the way. i love the beading on top!

More elegant shoes needed to go with that dress

Since the dress is long, I don’t think anyone will notice a slight difference in colour on the bit of the shoe peeking out! I also think a layered skirt like that is more flexible with colours than maybe a plain silk sheath so less noticeable!

I think it’s a great little touch to keep everyone comfy without overpowering with casualness. (and I prefer the white wedges to the sparkly flats)

crisy003:  I’m having the exact opposite problem with those exact wedges lol! I bought the ivory colored toms for our formal reception (needed the fabric-covered wedge). Turns out they’re too dark and I wish they had the white ones with a fabric-covered wedge, haha! I’ve decided the petal color would be the best bet in terms of avoiding a clashing problem, but they’re always out of stock!! Anyway, I settled on the ivory pair because I don’t really think people will see them anyhow. (:

I don’t understand the TOMS trend with weddings. Theyre incredibly casual, it doesn’t flush at all & ruins the whole look for me.

Also I could be overthinking it, but something about wearing a company built on giving big profits to help under priveledged children while getting married in your expensive dress, on your pricey day, while drinking champagne seems kind of wrong to me.

cls9q:  They’re comfortable. Also, they’re my reception shoes… I want to dance. (:

crisy003:  I think the white pair is fine. Honestly, nobody is going to care even if they did notice. That being said, if you’re going to be doing detail shots with the shoes, are you going to be okay with the combination? If you’re cool with it, then screw what anyone else says anyway!

Nobody even cares what shoes you’re wearing!  No body notices or asks about them.  Just be comfortable & feel beautiful!

First of all, even though I would not look good in that style of dress (empire waist), I LOVE your dress! It may be the most unique (in a good way) dress I’ve ever seen in my three years on WB.  I love the beading!

As for shoes, I was shaking my head negatively when I saw the white Toms.  I had in mind a pair of beaded shoes, and then I saw the beaded flats you posted. I think they’re perfect!
