@HisNightOwl2014:  No, you won’t be able to tell. My dress was ivory and my veil was white (I borrowed it from a friend)

The last wedding I went to, the bride had a white veil and an ivory dress. No one said anything negative but it was noticeable. :/ I guess it depends on how ivory the dress is. My dress was quite white for ivory if that makes sense.

I wore an ivory dress with an ivory veil and I’m glad I did because you definitely would have been able to tell with mine. While both my dress and veil did photograph very white in a lot of pictures, any time I held up something white against my dress you could really see the contrast.

@HisNightOwl2014:  I bought a white veil and my dress was ivory.. I didn’t think it would be noticeable but when I took my veil to my dress fitting it was very noticeable.. It probably won’t show in pics but in person i’m sure your guest will notice.. I exchanged the white for an ivory veil just because I knew it would bother me about it not matching..If things like that really don’t bother you, I would probably just keep it.

Is it a big deal, well no not really but you will definitely be able to tell. My cousin had an ivory dress and while veil and it was very obvious to me, the dress looked more yellow in comparison.

@HisNightOwl2014:  I see a bit of a difference.. but it’s hard to say for sure with the lighting in that shot. It could be the difference in sheen on the 2 fabrics too.

I tried on a white sample veil with my ivory dress and for me it was a night and day difference. Without thay white veil the ivory dress looked pretty white but once the actual white veil was on there it was crazy how much more ‘yellow’ the dress looked.

@HisNightOwl2014:  Normally I would say to get the same exact shade, but from the picture you showed it looks good! I would test it in different lighting to be sure. Have someone take a photo of you wearing it with your dress outside or close to natural light, as I would imagine you might have some photos outdoors.
