Whitening Strips. Yes or No?

I used Crest Pro Whitening and I thought they worked like a dream. I asked my dentist and he said strips are the only OTC tx (not toothpastes, rinses, etc.) that will actually change tooth color. If you want it to be intensive and fast, you can do it at the dentist.

I will warn you that for some people, the strips increase tooth sensitivity. I could only handle 1 treatment every few weeks with the strips because they would make my teeth ache. If i touched my teeth together with the strips on, I would get a sharp ache in my teeth.

I have a custom tray from the dentist and honestly I prefer the crest white strips! They seem to work better/faster, and I HATE that tray so much lol. They can cause some sensitivity but nothing that bothered me much.

@CarterLove:  They worked for me, but OMG OUCH! The first application made my teeth start to ache. The second app. made me want to cry. I never made it to the 3rd.

@CarterLove:  I’ve used the crest whitening strips, they work rather well. I also HIGHLY reccommend Peroxyl. It’s a whitening mouthwash, and works fantastically. Gentle enough to use every day, and there’s a huge difference within 3 uses, from my experience. It’s in a smallish dark blue bottle with a white cap.

@CarterLove:  They do work but they really hurt me. I am not a sensitive person nor do I have sensitive teeth and I found them very painful. The 1st time with The only way to know if theyll bother you, is to try them out.

@busybee3791:  I didnt eat for an entire day! I made the mistake of doing it in the morning! It even hurt to speak because if cold air hit my teeth, the pain intensified.

@CarterLove:  They work but they made my normally not sensitive teeth ache. However, they hurt far less than Zoom whitening at the dentist. My teeth were sensitive long after I had Zoom done. You can space out your Crest whitening treatments if you’re experiencing tooth sensitivity.

@busybee3791:  Yep, so was mine and it went on for hours. Then I thought, ok, got through that I can do another one. And the 2nd one was the 1st one times 1,000. Oh god. I tried twice, years apart, different types and both resulted in the same. I give up!

CarterLove I agree with the post above.  They made my teeth very sensitive but not as bad as zoom or bleaching.  I would suggest just using rembrandt intense stain whitening toothpaste, it’s worked the best for me without hurting my teeth or gums.

I tried Whitestrips and it was the worst tooth pain EVER. I just couldn’t.

I bought some whitening mouthwash a couple weeks before my wedding and it brightened my smile up a bit without any pain.
