I use the Crest Whitening Toothpaste in the blue tube, the big one. I have noticed a shade or two difference which was nice. I could go for a little brighter but I have sensitive teeth so it was an easy way to whiten without hurting my enamel.
We use a whitening toothpaste by Crest. I like it, but I wouldn't say I notice a difference in the color of my teeth, however, it's probably because we've been using it for several years. One thing I did notice, though, it stains colored towels (e.g. when you wipe your mouth after brushing) so be careful! We don't use bleach in our house and after talking with my aunt who also doesn't use bleach, we finally figured out that some of our colored towels had what looked like bleach stains because it was from our toothpaste!
I like opalescence. They also make a teeth whitening system and mine came with a sample of. I haven't been successful finding it in drug stores though but you can buy it online.
