I have been obsessively lurking on the ring board. For my 5 year anniversary, I am getting a new set of rings (starting from scratch) because a) we got engaged in college and now we have a little money b) I want a slightly different style and c) my beloved moissanite stone has a chip (lower-left hand side of the stone in this pic).
I am getting another moissanite and I have tentatively decided on a channel-set cathedral ring in white gold. Here’s the ring I picked, all from different sellers calling it different things. So here’s my question. Who actually makes/manufactures these moissanite rings? Any ideas?
Thanks for your input!

Moissanite Co and asha diamond are owned by the same company and I believe they get their settings from an outside source, so it makes sense you found the same setting at both of those companies and maybe another.

Unique Settings of NY is a casting house so if that ring is the same, then they are the manufacturers. They also use Stuller, Adwar, etc. Most retailers use the same rings, Zales, Overstock, even Walmart.

It depends on the setting. A lot of jewelers can order settings from casting houses like Unique Settings of New York, Stuller, Adwar and some others. There are jewelers that also have their own benches and can create custom work, as well as their “stock” settings that they have made exclusively for their store.
The setting you like is in fact a setting from Unique. I actually had that setting. Schubach’s ordered it for me.

@ceebree: unique settings of new york is the manufacturer. They don’t sell direct but if you find the style number on the website you can comparison shop (that’s what I did and saved $600 over moissaniteco’s price)

@BluePeaches: That’s kind of what I was thinking! Where did you buy from? Did you just google USoNY’s style number?

@ceebree: ashadiamonds and Moissaniteco are owned by the same company, so most of their settings are the same. Asha isn’t moissanite, though. Asha is CZ, so while ashadiamonds and Moissaniteco have the same settings, they are different stones.
Moissaniteco gets all of their Moissanites from Charles and Colvard. C&C has the patent for moissanite right now so pretty much all legit moissanite comes from them

Try schubachs! They always have the best looking moissanite stones and I think they can get any of the same settings!

@ceebree: Yes thats exactly what I did. I got it from getdiamondsdirect but it doesn’t look like they have that style number on their website
