I dont know how unique they are and I know they are a bit expensive, but I LOVE Amsale bridesmaid dresses! They have a great selection of styles and beautiful colors!

Lela Rose has some beautiful dresses…but they are expensive.  Inexpensive dresses aren’t going to push the envelope, design wise, all that often. They’re supposed to appeal to the average girl.  Someone who wants cutting edge designer will usually pay a bit more in appreciation for it.

I really think Alfed Sung dresses are gorgeous. Clean lines. Rewearable. Unique? Maybe not, but defnitely pretty.

You can make a relatively inexpensive dress “unique” by adding embellishments (belts, fabric flowers, lace, crystals etc)–just a thought

My girls are wearing 3 different Alfred Sung dresses in charcoal peau de soie.  I think they are stylish and rewearable.  They don’t look like childish “typical” BM dresses.  They were all in the $200-250 range (I am in Canada, so things are more $$).

hmmm – if you want both unique and inexpensive, I’d maybe consider finding a butterick/other pattern you like and hiring a seamstress (or better yet, fashion school teacher – maybe student if you’re feeling bold). Otherwise, I think most of the very good bridesmaid dresses that are both unique and well-made are going to be hard to find for less than $250-300 – if that’s OK for your girls’ budgets, I’d check out Lula Kate (my personal fave – they are SO cute, and supernice about sending you fabric samples and also lets you pick different skirt choices for different tops) or Monique Lhullier’s new bridesmaid line. Also perhaps BHLDN? A little more vintage-y, but definitely pretty unique! Also, J Crew might be a fun option – their dresses often go on sale, and their customer service is pretty good about tracking down sizes/colors. Good luck!
