We don’t have any OOT guests, so just the wedding party.

everyone! My FMIL wanted a super exclusive no oot guests party, so when we decided to host ourselves we decided to invite everyone! It will be super casual and add to the wedding-weekend feel of our wedding!

Everyone is OOT, so everyone is invited. I’m just doing a barbeque.

We decided to do just people who are in the wedding — Plus FI’s mom and her man-friend b/c they’re hosting the dinner.  This still adds up to ~25 ppl (not including several kids as well) by the time we add everything up.  People who we are inviting:

Us, my parents, his mom + manfriend, bridesmaids and groomsmen (plus their dates and kids if applicable), 2 flower girls and a ring bearer plus their parents, our officiant and his wife (close friends of ours), our ceremony flute player (also a close family friend).

Inviting our additional extended family and OOT guests added up way too fast, so we decided to go with this format.

Our wedding party, immediate/closest family, and some out of town guests. We defined out-of-town as out of state or country.

Oh, but seeing as all of our guests are from out of town, we will be heading to a bar later in the evening to meet up with everyone else who isn’t invited to the rehearsal dinner.

Our wedding is out-of-state for everyone…so we are inviting the wedding party, parents, grandparents and siblings to the rehearsal dinner.

We’re (I’m) hoping to keep it down to just the wedding party, family and very close out of town guests.  Knowing my parents, they’ll want to invite all out of towners, so we may have to change up the plan & place to be able to accommodate.

fot those of you not inviting oot guests, don’t you feel guilty? esp for oot family? NOT meaning to say you should feel guilty, but I do!

I have never gone to an oot wedding I wasnt in, but if I flew somewhere for someones wedding, I would want to see them! And i feel like my extended family is spending so much to see me at the wedding that they should be invited! Our oot guests are like 80% of the wedding which is why we are inviting everyone.

Did anyone have oot guests who expected to be invited?

Everyone was OOT for us too. We had our wedding party and their partners/children, plus our parents and grandparents. We also invited a couple of aunts and uncles – those who were staying with the parents or grandparents, who we don’t see very often. I didn’t want to invite everyone as I didn’t want to feed 86 people two nights in a row but it was a bit of a struggle with MIL to make her realise this 🙂  We were staying at a resort and had a BBQ outside, so other guests who had already arrived stopped by for a drink and to say hello which was nice, but none of them expected to be able to eat too. It was a good way for everyone to meet and relax!

@ Habibah, I love that idea! At least the wiffle ball idea. I can’t imagine that I have any Yankee fans within my circle of loved ones. Wink

All of our guests are OOT, so that’s not an option for us.

We’re inviting the wedding party and dates, as well as immediate family.  I think there will be clsoe to 50 there, eeesh.
